Sauna culture done right @publicsauna.co

The pioneers of Australian sauna culture have set the bar even higher with this one. The first wood fired smoke sauna on Australian soil. Complimented with chunky Accoya bench seating, elevated to capture the true heat of a traditional savusauna.

Part Four Before and After -
PROJECT COOGEE, built in the 60's with a nasty renovation done in the 1980's, it was sad to see the unit’s condition, but yet so inspiring to visualise what it should and would become.

One of my greatest days- the knock down of the ghastly bathroom-goodbye corner spa bath & the rest!!! They said it couldn’t be done –create a stylish roomy bathroom with what we had to work with?? Ha! what a beautiful compact bathroom it is now, and the key to this triumph was taking out an ancient linen cupboard in the entryway to increase the space and to push through the 2nd bedroom wall, giving the bathroom and extra 4m2 front and side to house the plumbing & goodbye swing door & hello slider!

Special thanks goes out to Florida Design, my amazing cabinet makers who always achieve a beautiful result, thank you Andre ❤️

And to Kaney & family for letting me do what I do!!

Before & Afters edition #3 additional Scope of works: Bronte.

Past projects 'before & afters' highlight our journey from concept to completion, where daily decision making and quick-thinking solutions help us manage challenging situations. This edition showcases our Bronte projects Living Room, Dining Nook, Terrace and the main bathroom, which was so fun to redesign as the previous bathroom was absolutely horrendous, but so much fun to throw the puzzle pieces up in to the air workshop!

….and although I don’t pick favourites- this project was and still is really special because of the creative thinking that came with it.

My client Leigh and I were very much aligned, regarding how far we wanted to take this unique and quirky scheme. With no limitations + the confidence Leigh had in following his dream, we all pulled together and made it happen, and had so much fun in the process!

Stay tuned !! 🌈

Past projects 'before & afters' highlight our journey from concept to completion, where daily decision making and quick thinking solutions help us manage challenging situations.

Each renovation or restoration project is generally a large and complicated jigsaw puzzle 😮 Workshopping with my trades and suppliers throughout a project's time frame allows me to not only to find solutions and prized pieces of the puzzle, it also allows us the time and patience to strive for the best outcome for each of our unique clients, and their unique tastes and vision for their homes and spaces.

Our Bronte project was complex, with concrete cancer, leaking pipes and lifting tiles throughout, an awful boxed in and cramped layout, to which we slowly work shopped. Every little nook & cranny was reconsidered and transformed, each redesigned to allow the home to flow and the MCM/Industrial design brief to be honoured and realised.

The previous ugly duckling that the home once was took on its stunning transformation, becoming the beautiful swan that it so deserved to be and I am forever grateful for the opportunity our wonderful client Leigh offered to us.

So, after completing this (not so little insta post) I will be moving forward with the same; showcasing the before & afters to provide inspiration and possibly the opportunity to allow us to dream BIG for YOU!! i
