This International Chefs Day, we’re celebrating chefs at every stage of the journey 👨‍🍳 Through our partnership with @prept.foundation , we get to see the impact food education can have first-hand. From the Mini Chefs learning new skills and discovering a love of cooking in schools, to the Michelin-starred chefs who give their time, expertise and support to Prept’s events. It’s a brilliant community bringing together the next generation and some of the industry’s best talent, all united by a shared passion for food. We’re proud to work alongside Prept, supporting their mission to make food education more accessible and help inspire the next generation of chefs. #InternationalChefsDay #PreptFoundation #Hospitality #FoodEducation

We caught up with the @prept.foundation team at last week’s show to learn more about the incredible work they do and how their partnership with @bunzllockhart has helped support and elevate their impact. The show was not only a platform for showcasing the latest industry innovations, but also a place where meaningful conversations took place and valuable connections were made. We’re proud to have partnered with Prept. as our charity partner for the event, helping to raise over £15,000. Attendees also had the opportunity to take part in a raffle packed with fantastic prizes, including a £5000 exclusive brand catering equipment package by Lockhart Catering Equipment. Through immersive food education programmes, Prept. empowers children and young people to adopt healthier habits and discover the wide range of career opportunities available within the hospitality industry.

A day full of great conversations, inspiring people and plenty of food talk 👩‍🍳✨ I was lucky enough to be part of the panel discussion with Public Sector Catering at the Catering Innovation Show, sharing my experiences and talking all things catering, innovation and the future of food. It was also such a pleasure to meet and connect with so many amazing chefs from across the industry. Days like this are a great reminder of how much talent, passion and creativity there is within the world of catering. Very grateful to have been part of it ❤️ What a day! 👩‍🍳 Chef ilona #chefilona #publicsectorcatering #cateringinnovation #cheflife #foodindustry

When we built FJORD we began with the ethos of happy chef happy food. This has managed to evolve into happy restaurant happy food. From this we have met some amazing people so far, creating connections to strengthen this message and could not be more excited about what’s to come. @prept.foundation Prept is a charity, training young people in schools to cook and be engaged in a hands on way, just as cooking is about to be taken off school curriculums. We have a lot planned, follow along, share the story and support your friends in hospitality. They’re not always having the best time! A hug, a message, a simple “I’m thinking of you” can help a lot of people, working long hours, that aren’t always trained in a healthy way, and dealing with a lot of abuse. An honour to be invited down @wellocksfood and an honour to meet you @pierre.koffmann and @claire.koffmann Thank you for the amazing meal @northcoteuk and congrats to @chef_lisa_goodwinallen for becoming Lancaster ambassador for @prept.foundation

Today, our Head Chef Jake Rossington made his way to Northcote to join the fantastic @prept.foundation for the launch of their new Northern Ambassador, Lisa Goodwin Allen. It was a brilliant day and a great example of what can happen when the hospitality industry comes together - sharing ideas, supporting one another and creating opportunities for the next generation. That spirit of collaboration is something we’re bringing to Fields to Fork in 2027, with the launch of our brand-new Industry Monday. Open to chefs, operators, producers, suppliers and hospitality professionals, the day will be all about honest conversations, live-fire cooking, expert panels, supplier showcases and genuine connections across the industry. ✨If you work in hospitality, this one’s for you. Find out more about Industry Monday and join us for The Third Course in 2027 → fieldstoforkfestival.co.uk/industry-monday @northcoteuk @chef_lisa_goodwinallen
