The world is a changin’…

Change was palpable for me this week. Most obvious is the change in season with autumn in full swing. The leaves were peak in Westchester, but they were way past peak in the Hudson Valley, with many trees quite bare. And of course, the temps they are a droppin’.

More personal and less obvious are the in-my-face changes in my life. This weekend I had the honor of serving as KichenWitch for Team Present Wisdom Yoga. Asha & Co offered a holistic Fall Wellness Retreat at the magnificent Beckoning Path in Armonk. How lucky I was to nourish the group with hearty roasted vegetable soup, colorful chopped salad, addictive coconut clusters and soul-warming cacao. It’s so surreal for me to return to Armonk, the bucolic town where I lived for almost 20 years and raised my children. It seems like another lifetime, a different person.

And then, toodling around Pine Plains and Rhinebeck, and other Ditchess towns that my then boyfriend (now ex husband) introduced me to, evoked many sweet memories. Who knew at 19 we had cows in New York? And then, as I was in food heaven sitting alone at the bar at the fabulously renovated Stissing House (feeling like a badass goddess), I struck up a conversation with a woman who was connected to my in laws. It was a New York moment and a step back in time.

Love to all. No matter what changes are afoot, may love and joy be ever present. 🕊️
