Day two as @adjuastyles personal photographer for her trip to Cape Town.

This was a streetstyle concept shoot in Bo-Kaap. @adjuastyles has such a good sense of style that finding the perfect backdrop wasn’t a problem. Bo-Kaap’s colours matched her outfit as if we’d planned it.

Same rule as always for this: show up prepared and shoot!

I pitched myself for a shoot without knowing who it was for. Best decision I ever made 🥹✨

A new friend asked if I knew a photographer (not knowing I was one). So I sent my portfolio, not knowing who it was for and hoped for the best. I got the job and found out that I’d be shooting for @adjuastyles and @stylesp while on their vacation in Cape Town.

This one’s from their sunset yacht cruise. The boat was rocky AF, I kept losing my balance and they watched me nearly go overboard to get the perfect pictures for them. We just laughed it off together and I kept it moving.

I think it’s safe to say, I got the shot(s) and they loved their pictures.

I’m sharing the last two years of my work, one story at a time and thought I’d start with an experience I’d never forget.

There’s a first time for everything right? Awe!
In celebration of our 9 year musical escapade, we’re making a First Thursday debut in collaboration with encounters – an intimate listening bar with a retro future feel in the heart of Cape Town.

Encounters was designed by Paris based studio @supaform, and is fitted with a Lucid Audio sound system.

@dj_wata_mami and LAUREN (@prettybirrd) make their Garden Groove debuts and as per usual our residents are in full support!
