It is once again time to tell the story of my elementary school’s SAVE THE RAINFOREST month where every classroom took part in a contest where we decorated the absolute shit out of the room with yards and yards and yards of butcher paper to make it look like the rainforests we were so adamant about wanting to save. LET’S MAKE A BIG TREE OUT OF PAPER TO SHOW HOW WE NEED TO SAVE THE TREES! Snakes! Cheetahs! Penguins! Were penguins even in rain forests? DOESN’T FKN MATTER! ADD EM! WE HAD A CONTEST TO WIN!

At the end of the month, we were told that every class was a winner, it was the 90s after all, and we all threw away our classroom jungle paper into dumpsters, satisfied that we had done our parts to save the rainforest #bless

Ok, friends, today’s roundup theme is just kind of... a rant. And it doesn’t really end in a place where I am like BUT ON THE POSITIVE SIDE or a HERE IS WHAT WE’RE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT type note... because I really don’t know. There’s a lot to feel exhausted about right now. Lots of headlines that are insanely weird to process. And I think the biggest point of this was a vent and also a friendly reminder that if you, like me, are feeling pretty overwhelmed by life in 2026... you are far from alone.

Thanks for being here, friends. You’re appreciated more than you know.

🫠Complicated isn’t even the half of it…

If you’ve been feeling “all the feels” lately — both personally and societally, you are not alone.

At @becoming_collective_ we’ve created a space where members share all the beautiful things they are hoping & building towards… AND — all the heavy things they are holding, navigating, and processing.

And yes — sometimes there are tears 🥺.

This week our founder @amandabaudier shared her personal story of finally “crumbling” after a series of back to back 🥴 events left her drained in more ways than one…

Along with 5 accessible steps she is taking to get back to feeling resourced & rooted.
