POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Two posts this week, looking back on moments from this year with the Schwarzman Scholars community. Close to ten years on, this program and its people are still giving so much. Super grateful for it!

First up: the @schwarzmanscholars 10th Anniversary in April ☀️

It was so good to be back together with alumni, and especially reconnect with so many, catch up and experience Beijing together again. Thank you to the organizers and staff for all the work behind the scenes, and to the program for an opportunity that keeps shaping my path.
@brianyoungtw and I also facilitated a session for our cohort, Leading Lives style. Reunions are busy, so it meant a lot that people made the time and space for deeper conversations. Thank you all for showing up the way you did.

A recap on Leading Lives this September follows next Tuesday 🌱

P.S.: casual reminder I do have freckles, they have gotten lost in the local editing of some of these photos somewhere 🥹

With less than five years left to achieve the 2030 Agenda, young people have never had a more important role to play.

Join us for the third session of Awareness 360’s Youth Development Programme 2026: Leadership in Action: Tools for Driving the SDGs.

We are honoured to welcome Shomy Hasan Chowdhury, @prevashomy , an award-winning Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) activist from Bangladesh and Co-founder of Awareness 360. Recognized as a 2025 Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, a Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree, and the first Generation17 Young Leader from Asia Pacific by Samsung and UNDP, Shomy has spent over a decade empowering young people in more than 100 countries to take action on the Sustainable Development Goals. As a sought-after public speaker, she has addressed audiences in over 60 countries across six continents and spoken on some of the world’s most influential stages, including the United Nations, The White House, COP, WHO, Harvard University, Cambridge University, the London School of Economics, CHOGM, and the Global Citizen Festival. She has also served as a judge for high-level international programmes, including the UN SDG Action Awards and the Diana Legacy Award.

What an incredible week at SXSW London! Huge thanks to @dianaaward for the invitation and for putting together such an inspiring experience 💙

It was brilliant to meet (Little) Alex Horne and hear some behind-the-scenes stories from Taskmaster, as well as listening to an amazing range of speakers, from House of the Dragon’s Steve Toussaint to Russell T Davies and Claire Foy. Getting a sneak peek at Toy Story 5 was definitely a highlight too 🦖🤠

One of the standout moments for me was meeting Borislav Slavov, the composer behind Baldur’s Gate 3. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone so genuinely passionate about their work. Hearing him talk about the project — especially the boss battle music — was fascinating, and it was impossible not to be swept up in his enthusiasm. 🫶🙌

And, to top it all off, getting barrier for Circa Waves was the perfect cherry on top of an already fantastic week 💃🏻🎸

Still processing just how much happened — might have to return next year 👀✨🎶🎮🎬

Breaking the silence around our bodies to invite collective healing and necessary dialogue.💜

As we honor #MenstrualHygieneDay, we are reminded that period health isn’t a taboo to be whispered about: it’s a pillar of community wellness and thereby, liberation.

For too long, shame has silenced conversations that are vital to our health, our pleasure, and our freedom.

Are you ready to reclaim the narrative? Share this post, tag your girls, and head to the link in bio to get your tickets to #LTAS26 where we break down all the stigmas related to our bodies and claim our human right to bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom.

Let’s keep talking. Let’s keep healing. Let’s break the stigma together.🙏🏾

📌Be sure to follow @talkswithdrsesay @officialjanetmbugua @theperioddoctor and @menstrualhygieneday to stay informed and engaged!

Water, dignity, and periods should not be a radical conversation in 2026, and yet here we are 🤷🏾‍♀️

We have spent years talking about pads, but what happens when a girl has no water, no privacy and no safe space to manage her period? That reality still shapes whether she shows up, stays confident, or falls behind.

I sat with Shomy Hasan Chowdhury, co founder of @awareness_360, and it quickly becomes clear that menstrual health is about infrastructure, policy, and ultimately, whose dignity is treated as a priority.

@schwarzmanscholars 10 year reunion! What an absolutely amazing, emotional and positive experience. 5 years ago when I was selected as 1 out of a 5800 students on this competitive masters program on Global Affairs I was completely unaware that it would give me the best network in the world!

Fast forward to 2025, and now there’s 1000+ of us global leaders, dominating our individual fields of expertise. I’m so glad that I get to be part of this special group of people who are influencing and shaping the world.

Thank you to Stephen Schwarzman and Amy Stursberg, for the consistent investment in ensuring excellence. Flying out 1000+ alumni from over 50 countries, all expense paid, 5 star hotel stay, is no easy fit, and can only be testament to the bar of excellence we seek to set as a community!

I can’t wait to see how we continue to grow as an institution that is dedicated to excellence and success.
