This is your sign to keep pushing for the rooms you belong in. If younger me could see this, she wouldn’t believe it.

What an honor to witness history and play a small part in such a monumental moment during the Obama Presidential Center Grand Opening Week. Seeing the community come together to celebrate the Obamas was truly something special.

Thank you to @agencyea and the @obamafoundation for this incredible opportunity. It truly takes a village, and I’m so appreciative to everyone who helped make this moment possible.

Swipe through for a behind-the-scenes look at a week I’ll never forget. 💙

The best kind of work is when all your passions collide and somehow, it doesn’t feel like work.

In less than a month, I had the opportunity to produce the Netflix x Best of the Best Bollywood Dance Class event series, bringing it to six cities across the U.S.

One of my favorite parts was seeing people of all ages come together to learn and enjoy choreography from the movie by @joyakazi. Each of our instructors brought so much talent, energy, and heart to every city, making each class their own.

Personally, this experience was even more special because of the people I got to share it with. I reconnected with old friends and former college dance team members, finally met virtual friends IRL, and made so many new connections along the way.

Swipe for some of my favorite moments from the tour, from packed dance floors and incredibly talented instructors to an impromptu Times Square takeover in front of the Best of the Best billboard. Truly a pinch-me moment.

A huge shoutout to my village who helped me bring this tour to life in record time. You know who you are, and I truly couldn’t have done it without you. And thank you to everyone who showed up, danced, cheered, shared, spread the word, and made each stop so special.

So proud of this @pri.planned.it partnership with @netflix x @netflixgolden @browngirlmag x @bolly_hero and honored to have played a part in bringing this experience to life.

And seeing Best of the Best sitting at #1 makes the whole experience even sweeter. I’d like to think this tour helped contribute to that, @hasanminhaj @prashanthvenkat @imlenakhan 😉🎬🎥

When @netflix asks you to partner for #bestofthebest in Chicago, you go all out!

We filled the room with nearly 100 dancers, starting off with my Bollywood fitness class to get the adrenaline pumping, before diving into @joyakazi’s official choreography from the film.

Dance has always been about connection, passion, and showing up for one another. To look out and see a room full of people pouring their heart, energy, and love into every step brought me SO MUCH JOY.

Huge gratitude to everyone who came out, and a massive thank you to our organizing team for making this happen: @netflixgolden @browngirlmag @pri.planned.it and @bolly_hero !

@netflix Best of the Best but make it NYC 🗽

Honored to host the NYC Netflix workshop and so excited to have this opportunity to teach @joyakazi choreography from the movie. The dance community has always been about supporting each other. What I love most about dancers is how much passion we have for this craft. The physicality, the mental energy, and putting ourselves out there for what we really love to do. If you know me, you know how much dance means to me. And this community has always felt like home to me, so a huge thank you to my students and dancers 🫶

Thank you to our incredible organizers @netflixgolden @browngirlmag @pri.planned.it and Rohan!

Every city has brought its own energy, and San Francisco didn’t hold back.🫶🏾

We had the best time at our ✨Best of the Best✨Bollywood dance class, led by @amitdances. And then @amrynkhurana, who plays Sumi in the film, surprised everyone by joining in and dancing right alongside the class.🥹

Watching friends and OG dancers from the BOB era come together through dance has been one of the sweetest parts of this journey. San Francisco, thank you for showing up with so much heart.♥️

Before ✨Best of the Best✨ made its way to Netflix, Palak Sheth, aka @palakpalooza, and her team were building the very South Asian dance competition that elevated the circuit. They created a space where our music, movement, and stories were celebrated by our own community long before they reached the screen.

Having Palak teach the ✨Best of the Best✨ Bollywood dance class in Chicago brought it all full circle, bringing the energy and spirit of the original competition back to the dance floor.💛✨🤍Much love and a BIG thanks to everyone who joined us to dance, cheer, and reminisce the music and community that raised us!🫶🏽💚

No better way to celebrate BEST OF THE BEST weekend than our New York City 🗽class than with a spontaneous flash mob in Times Square, right in front of the ‘Best of the Best’ billboard.✨

From collegiate dance teams to the big screen, the six-city dance class experience was deeply personal from the @browngirlmag x @bolly_hero x @pri.planned.it crew.🥹Thank you for having us on board for the ride of a lifetime.

If you haven’t watched the film yet we can promise you it’s proven to be an unforgettable celebration of the movement, music and community that shaped so many of us.💃

Much love to the cast, crew and choreographers @joyakazi x @phillipchbeeb x @makenzie_dustman for going above and beyond to create dance magic.💛
