Parents: do you have a pre-schooler or child that’s learning how to cut at home? Once mine almost cut my finger off🙄 I had to think of a plan B. These resources here are cheap and fun for your little one. Play-dough, beginner and 3+ protective scissors. Tips: focus 1st on holding the scissors properly and modeling how to open and close the hand. I LOVE this teacher community!! I’m so beyond thrilled to say that I accepted my first teaching position back in February, at the school I was student teaching at!! In May I graduated from USC Aiken and I was able to move a majority of my classroom items into MY FIRST CLASSROOM!!! I can’t wait to share this journey with you guys! Here are a few fun moments and some projects I’ve been working on!

Thankful to work with these superheroes and MANY more. ❤️✏️ We’ve been thrown a few curveballs the last year as educators but I’m so proud of my school family. Was 2020 even real? I’m up at midnight reflecting on this past year as a teacher, and whoa. We literally had to change the way we did e v e r y t h i n g in a matter of days. Many of us said goodbye to our kids March 13th and may never see them again. We all started this school year differently than ever before— whether it was/is 100% virtual, hybrid, in person with new guidelines, or another challenging set up. Most of the time I feel like I’m just running on adrenaline, trying to do what’s best for the kids and make progress on the never ending to do list. But when I finally have time to think about everything we went through and did... yikes. I’m proud of us. ♥️👩🏻‍🏫

... But let’s not do it again, k 2021+? 😅

I tagged some of the teachers who, in addition to my team in real life, helped me make it through 2020. I wish I could tag all of you! Teachergram has been such a supportive community for me (whether it be with lesson ideas, inspirational stories, or DM venting sessions), especiallyyyy this year. We may have never met in person, but I love you all! ♥️♥️♥️
