Final Day: Nilufar at Design Miami.Paris (@designmiami) at L’Hôtel de Maisons, with a presentation that brings together rare examples of vintage collectible design, recent collaborations and new contemporary productions.

The presentation opens with three rare works by Carlo Bugatti revealing his distinctive synthesis of craftsmanship, symbolism and ornamental detail. A substantial group of works by Gabriella Crespi further explores the relationship between natural inspiration, sculptural form and material experimentation. The contemporary works extend this dialogue through a variety of materials and approaches with the works of Studio Daniel K, Christian Pellizzari, Vikram Goyal, Hechizoo, Von Pelt Atelier, David Aliperti.

“Historical works carry their own stories, materials and ways of thinking, while contemporary creations can introduce new perspectives and unexpected tensions. Bringing them together is a way of looking at design beyond chronology, through the relationships that emerge between different forms, cultures and sensibilities.” — @ninayashar

At L’hôtel de Maisons, Nilufar explores the decorative cultures woven into collectible design. Ornament, symbolism and craftsmanship carry traces of place and memory, from Carlo Bugatti’s richly articulated furnishings to Gabriella Crespi’s sculptural interpretations of nature.

The contemporary selection continues this thread, revealing how historical motifs and techniques can be absorbed, transformed and ultimately given new form. Jewellery, Murano glass, Indian and Japanese influences reappear here as inherited weaves carried across cultures and generations.

At Nilufar Via della Spiga, a renewed selection unfolds through light, material and contrast, offering a new reading of its intimate interiors. Antique, vintage and contemporary works come together beyond chronology, connected instead by texture, proportion and atmosphere.

Unexpected affinities emerge as expressions of artisanal mastery coexist with more radical gestures. Layered through shifts in scale, surface and colour, they shape the character of the Milanese salon: an ever-evolving design destination with a distinctive perspective on collectible design across eras.

We are so happy to be part of La Casa Magica presented @nilufargallery for Milan Design Week alongside super talented designers💫 Forms of Re-enchantment, Symbols, Beliefs, and Archetypes of the Domestic, curated by Valentina Ciuffi (@valentinaciuffi ) with creative direction by Studio Vedèt (@studiovedet ) and set design by Space Caviar (@spacecaviar ). The exhibition gathers works from a wide range of geographical and cultural contexts, investigating ritual practices, symbolic languages, and the home as a space of re-enchantment.

Emerging from the ongoing dialogue between @ninayashar and Valentina Ciuffi, the project expresses a shared curatorial vision where research, storytelling, and visual identity intersect. Moving beyond folkloric or ethnographic references, the objects reveal themselves as carriers of meaning and active magical devices, transforming the domestic environment into a threshold between memory, imagination, and belief.

At the heart of La Casa Magica, four practices coming from different geographical and cultural contexts engage with ritual, ancestral mythologies, and archetypes of the domestic sphere.

Made By ASTRONAUTS (@madebyastronauts) reflects on the histories of women healers through sculptural furniture that reclaims care, birth, desire, and healing as forms of resistance. Drawing on Daucus carota—a wildflower traditionally associated with protection—Flora Lechner (@flora_manon) translates its intricate umbels into luminous, techno-organic forms reminiscent of engineered components.

Designed by Clara Schweers (@claerira) the Portale mirrors reimagine the mirror as a domestic portal between realities, where the reflective surface becomes a site of doubling, truth and passage. Meanwhile, David Aliperti (@princemonkey) grounds his practice in Umbanda traditions and Brazilian botanical knowledge, creating hand-built paper clay sculptures that serve as intimate guardians of memory, spirituality, and the unseen.

Together, these works restore the house as a place of belief and transformation, where objects become powerful, active talismans.
