HOUSTON SEEN/SCENE: First, a shoutout to Jordan Bolduc and Jailyne España, the talented young curators behind PrintHouston’s ThinkINK 2026 members’ exhibition at The Silos at Sawyer Yards!

While I was there, I also wandered through ClayHouston’s Bayou Mud 2026 and photographed four ceramic works that caught my eye. Featuring functional and sculptural pieces by Houston-area artists, the exhibition draws inspiration from our bayous and the transformation of earth, water, fire and clay.

Swipe through to meet Jordan and Jailyne, and some of the artists in ThinkINK, then see a few of my favorite artworks (including one by Susan Budge) from Bayou Mud.

Happy Birthday to my hometown and the city I love, Houston!

The traffic may be bad and the weather is worse, but the food is amazing and the people are even better. So many underrated folks here doing cool work. I feel so honored to get to contribute my art to the city and partner with some of these amazing people.

From my first ever solo art show at @cactus_music who do so much to support independent music and art in the city.

I’ve gotten to work with the folks at @upartstudio on a few projects, but my favorite is this Window Works project highlighting Houston icon, Marvin Zindler.

@crafthouston put on the best exhibition I’ve seen of all things Houston and I had the pleasure contributing some of my work to the @crafthoustonstore

Another @upartstudio collab. They do such a good job at advocating for public art here and navigating the world of public arts funding, so artists can be free to make art.

The tastiest project I’ve ever been a part of. @the_bake_happening created these cookies based on my artwork and donated part of the proceeds to charity. One thing about Houstonians is we look out for each other.

Met @houstonskateboards at a market years and years ago where we bonded over love for Houston and the blue tile street signs. Now my pins are in his store along side his skate decks.

Houstonians are great are recognizing real and supporting each others hustle. Houston Skateboards has put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into supporting skateboarders of all levels in the city and beyond.

Made this life size Jose Altuve print with the help of @printmatters and a steamroller!

They’ve been holding it down for printmakers in the city with cool events like this at @theorangeshow

Anyway happy birthday Houston. Let’s keep moving forward and supporting each other and let’s do something cool with the astrodome!

It’s an icon and Roy deserves to have something of his legacy still standing.
