#TBT to a morning when creativity made a difference! 🎨✨

Last Tuesday, art became a shared experience at Empório B Gallery, where CCBU had the pleasure of supporting a special workshop led by Brazilian artist Priscila Schott in partnership with IPTI US.

The event brought together artistic expression, learning, and a meaningful cause. From an inspiring introduction by CCBU Board Member Liana Rivas to the hands-on experience guided by Priscila, every moment encouraged participants to explore their imagination and discover the joy of creating something of their own.

We were especially delighted to have CCBU Vice President Gabi Cheli and Board Members Viviane Spinelli and Liana Rivas present, reinforcing our commitment to initiatives that celebrate Brazilian artists while generating a positive impact beyond the arts.

Our thanks to Priscila Schott, IPTI US, and everyone who made this experience possible. Moments like these remind us why investing in culture means investing in people, opportunities, and the future of our community. 💚💛

Public art projects are brewing!

The second edition of a Public Art Mentoring & Exhibition Program, guided by @carolabravoart is well underway!

Over the course of several group sessions, five artists are being guided through the full process of developing a public artwork — from responding to an open call to creating a thoughtful, site-specific proposal.

@_angela_bolanos_ @gretelcaprilesart @priscilaschottart @milenamartinezpedrosa @sanllehicarolina

Ideas are taking shape, conversations are flowing, and exciting projects are coming to life!

The results will be presented in a group exhibition at Pinecrest Gardens, opening Saturday, October 24, from 11:30 AM–1:30 PM.

Come see what happens when artists, place, and public space come together!

What if, for one morning, you became the artist? 🎨✨

CCBU invites you to a hands-on creative experience with Brazilian artist Priscila Schott, where inspiration moves beyond observation and becomes something you can shape with your own hands.

Based in Miami, Priscila has developed a distinctive artistic language in which geometry, color, movement, and play come together across sculpture, painting, and installation. Rooted in Brazil’s constructivist tradition and influenced by her background in technology, her work transforms simple forms into dynamic compositions that invite interaction and imagination. Her work has been presented across South Florida and at major cultural events including Pinta Miami and Miami Art Week.

Now it’s your turn to create alongside her! Spend the morning exploring the sculptural process, make your own piece to take home, and be part of an experience with an even greater purpose: each creation supports @ipti_us and its work with Brazilian communities.

📅 Tuesday, September 29 · 10 AM–1 PM
📍 Emporium B Gallery
🎟️ Registration: $120

Ancient forms. Contemporary materials. One conversation across centuries.

Panel 20_III by Priscilla Schott is now on display as part of OMA’s Echoes of the Ancient in Contemporary Voice collection. Drawing on the geometric precision of Indigenous architecture, textiles, and ritual objects, Schott reimagines these timeless patterns through the lens of minimalism and her background in computer science.

Not relics. Living ideas. Come see for yourself.
