having a family of six comes with benefits. you have enough people for your own basketball team, enough people for a group discount, no one ever has to ride alone on rollercoaster rides, and every meal feels like a dinner party. in our home meal times are more than just fueling our body with food but instead an excuse to celebrate the day. and i love any chance to entertain, even if it’s my own little house guests. this week with the help of @florenceskitchen, @rhodeshomeandgift and @c.holmquistdesign we made Monday night dinner even more special.

And now you can too! We've partnered to give one lucky follower the ultimate entertaining package! We're giving away a $75 gift card to one of my favorite local restaurants Florence's for a Family Meal🍴, a $75 gift card to Rhodes Home & Gift to spruce up your tableware or decor ✨ and a $75 credit for a floral arrangement 🌸 from C. Holmquist Design.

2) Follow @florenceskitchen @rhodeshomeandgift @c.holmquistdesign and me @priscillatbrown

join me in wishing the happiest birthday to my sasquatch husband Will! 🤍the sweetest husband, the absolute best father, and the most thoughtful friend. and despite being the big 4-0 he seems to only get better looking with age! our world is such a better place because he is in it and i am thankful every day that the one and only time in his life he mustered up courage to walk over to a stranger and ask if she wanted to dance, that the stranger happened to be me. happy birthday Will 🎉 #mysasquatchhusband #sasquatchholdingthings

happy 5th birthday to our first baby! Liam has grown so much in this past year and now uses words like “unexpectedly” and “last but not least.” he is so meticulous, independent, and sharp as a whip. and most importantly, at age five, he still thinks his mom and dad hung the moon and will still give me a kiss goodbye each day at school drop off. to the sweetest little boy, our first rainbow baby, who gave me the gift of motherhood, thank you for making valentine’s day a day i will never forget. happy fifth birthday Liam! 🎉

amidst the chaos of our country, when the world seemed to have come to a complete halt, hidden behind lego sets and coloring books our children were watching and listening. my children are too young to grasp what is happening in this country, but they understand and feel sadness and they understand what it means to be a bad guy or a good guy. i don’t know how to fix the problems of our country. but what an honor it is to raise these two boys to do what is right. to show them that you can have kindness and empathy but you have to act on it as well. to help them grow so they will one day fight for you and your children and your children’s children. to become a better man than all the other white men they saw on tv. i don’t know how to fix our country, but this is how i will start. xx

last week we celebrated one month since the release of “waiting on the universe.” a young woman i have never met, messaged me recently and said “a friend recommended your book and i read the entire thing in one night. infertility has left me feeling alone and in the dark and for the first time after reading your book i can finally see some light.”

i have always shared my story of infertility not for sympathy or attention but in hopes that someone will hear it and know they are not alone. it’s why i wrote this book. i hope you’ve folded down the corners and highlighted your favorite pages. spilled sips of raspberry leaf tea or drops of red wine on the cover. thrown a copy of it in your purse for that lunch date with an aching friend for whom you just don’t have the words. i hope that on your bedside table next to your hormone pills and your progesterone injections, you keep a copy, to read it when you need it. and i hope the words give you the strength to know you ARE worthy, it’s okay to not be okay, and although it may take a little bit longer, your baby is on the way and he or she has been anxiously waiting for you too. xx

i am happy to announce that my book “waiting on the universe” is now available for purchase on Amazon!

this book is an edited version of notes and poems i wrote throughout years of infertility. as i read through the book again last night i became emotional remembering how it felt to write these pages knowing that somewhere out there right now are women (and men) who may feel the exact same way that i did. my hope is that this book can bring some comfort to those people or to anyone who may need it.

thank you to everyone for the love and support you have shown the book already! the link for the book is in my bio, please feel free to share it with your friends and family! 🙏🏻

i’m so excited to announce to you all today: I WROTE & PUBLISHED A BOOK!!!! it has been years in the making and has now passed through the hands of my editor, proof readers, my cover illustrator, a layout designer, and it is now headed to the printers!

“waiting on the universe” is a collection of modern style poetry adapted from notes, letters, and journal entries i wrote over the years of infertility, written to a child who i wasn't sure would ever exist. my wish is for this book to bring comfort, support, and hope to anyone going through infertility, grief, or loss. if i can positively impact even one person than i know it will all have been worth it.

the book will be available for pre-sale on my website in August and then for sale on Amazon in early fall! stay tuned for more details! thank you all for your love and support!!
