Two more private chef experiences booked today with @privateplating_au! 👨‍🍳🥂

A corporate Christmas function for 11 guests in Ocean Grove, Victoria, next month, and an intimate birthday celebration and baby shower for five near Brisbane next week.

We’ve also sent proposals for Christmas Day lunch on the Gold Coast and a Melbourne event for 120+ guests in June. Different occasions, different sizes—all built around bringing people together over great food.

It took me around 12 months with AmazeApp to build the kind of momentum Private Plating is seeing in its first 30 days. This time, I’m bringing everything I’ve learnt from 20+ years in hospitality and 14+ years as a private chef.

Planning something in Brisbane, the Gold Coast or Melbourne?

Private Plating can help with:
🍽️ Private dinners and five-course degustations
❤️ Romantic dinners for two
🥂 Canapé parties and corporate functions
🎄 Christmas catering
🎂 Birthdays, baby showers and special celebrations
🧀 Grazing platters and desserts by @thecheesecakeman_au

We tailor the menu to your occasion, guest numbers and dietary requirements, so you can spend more time enjoying the company around your table.

Send @privateplating_au a message with your date, location and guest numbers, and let’s start planning.

Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too? 🍰😉

Book an event with @privateplating_au and ask me about adding a cake from @thecheesecakeman_au!

Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, romantic dinner or a catch-up with your favourite people, I can take care of the food and create something sweet for the occasion. 👨‍🍳✨

With over 20 years in hospitality and a background in patisserie, dessert has always been one of my favourite parts of bringing people together.

A private chef experience, finished with a Cheesecake Man creation? That’s my kind of celebration. 🥂

“Maybe the point was never to become someone who doesn’t fall. Maybe it was to become someone who always finds a reason to get back up.”

I’ve been thinking about that a lot while launching Private Plating.

When my previous business fell apart, I lost more than a company. I lost confidence, momentum and, for a while, the joy I’d always found in cooking. I had to face some hard lessons about growing too fast, managing money and taking responsibility when things go wrong.

Coming back to private cheffing feels different now. I’m starting smaller, being more deliberate about the bookings I take, and putting the experience I’ve built over 14 years back into something I can personally stand behind.

That’s what Private Plating is: a chance to do the work I love, earn trust through every event, and keep rebuilding one step at a time.

I can’t change how I fell. I can choose what I do next.

If you’re planning a dinner party, celebration or a night in for two, I’d love to cook for you. You can find us at privateplating.com or follow @privateplating_au. 🤍
