Still buzzing from last Saturday’s sold-out songwriting masterclass at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales.

A day spent exploring songs, arrangements, pre-production and creative instinct, in search of that mysterious moment when a piece of music finally reveals what it wants to become.

Thank you to Lisa and Project Seven, to my good friend and outstanding musician Lewan for assisting me, and to living legend Kingsley and the wonderful team at Rockfield for hosting us. Also special thanks to all the songwriters and artists who joined us and brought such openness, curiosity and creative energy to the room.

An unforgettable day in a truly great studio. More to come…

Day 4 at Rockfield
Today was a songwriting masterclass with multi-platinum music producer @sam_williams_music Sam was such an encouraging force and really championed my music. It was great to chat with him about our shared recollections of the 90’s music scene in Oxford.

I spent time with Matt Knight, developing the arrangement for a great song he had written. Then I had time to work on a song I’ve had knocking about for a while. Lisa Fitzgibbon @pro7ectmusic was such a help in teasing out lyrics and arrangement ideas. We recorded a live demo of the track in the Coachhouse studio with @joefjones who has been an understated genius throughout our time at Rockfield.

Rockfield. What a place to be.

You’d have better luck catching a horse than a taxi getting there, which only adds to the charm.

An unforgettable week with the loveliest people.
Thanks to @pro7ectmusic for making this possible.

More pics to come 🐑🖤
