NYC Print fair weekend magic ✨ Only had one day to spend in the city visiting both the @ifpda & the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair @powerhouse_arts 😮‍💨 But we did both on Saturday and saw as much as we could and more importantly everyone we needed to. Being a visitor instead of an exhibitor this year helped with making a one day trip possible! Just a grouping of highlights that were in my camera roll after the rollercoaster day in the city🎢 So proud of countless printers, friends and artists. Super grateful for the incredible print community and of course the amazing TamFam ❤️ @tamarindinstitute And if I forgot to tag anyone, please tell me!

Zero Days Without Problems, illustrated and printed by our resident Printmaker Nick Perry (@nick3am), chronicles the mishaps, accidents, crashes, and disasters that occurred during the first two years of Problems Printing. The print is part comic relief, part ode to the chaos of starting a new studio in a new place. The problems never stopped—so we allowed them to be a part of the story. This print will be on display and available for purchase at our booth at the upcoming Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair, taking place April 9–12, 2026 at Powerhouse Arts (@powerhouse_arts) in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Come and explore an incredible selection of fine art prints, meet talented artists, and celebrate printmaking. 🎟️ Tickets are available now—grab yours at the link in our bio! 📍Find us in Booth C2 ✌️Hope to see you there! Nick Perry (b. 1982, Athens, OH) lives in Los Angeles. Perry grew up in the tight-knit community of Athens, Ohio and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts, Printmaking at Ohio University, where he learned the value of versatility and collaboration. Nick maintains an illustration practice that showcases his brilliant capacity for observation and he can sometimes be found skating the curbs at his local Costco parking lot. #Silkscreen #Screenprint #ProblemPrinting #BrooklynPrintFair #Printmaking

📺 Watch Part 3: Making a Print with Erick Medel Printmaker Nick Perry offers a glimpse into the way colors were mixed for 2 Amigos. Informed by the colors in Medel’s thread paintings, Perry studied the threads in relation to their typical denim substrate in order to reflect a similar color relationship between ink and paper. Please join us this Saturday, February 28 for the release of 2 Amigos, by Erick Medel during our Print Release + Open Studio from 12–5 pm. The artist and printmakers will be present and are looking forward to sharing more about the project with everyone. 📍The studio is located at 9724 Alesia Street, South El Monte, CA 91733. #ErickMedel #LAartist #BoyleHeights #ProblemsPrinting #threadpainting #ink #printmaking #screenprint #silkscreen #LAartweek #collectprints Directed, filmed, and edited by Natalja Kent (@natalka_studio) First Assistant Camera: Mehregan Pezeshki (@mehreganpezeshkistudio) Producer: Jordan Lovelis (@jlovelis) Colorist: Ben Neufeld (greenfieldcolor.com) Sound Mix: Fox Schwach (@foxsch.wav) Problems Printing Tom Kracauer (@tomkracauer) Nick Perry (@nick3am) Herbert Mendoza (@_herbyyla_) Sarah Plummer (@speckhero) Special thanks to Sam Keller (@sam_big_gulp) Drawing machine designed and fabricated by J.D. A New Print by Erick Medel! 2 Amigos, 2026 Silkscreen on paper Edition of 30 17.25 x 14.5 in (43.8 x 36.8 cm) Print Release + Open Studio Saturday, February 28, 2026 12–5pm   Problems Printing 9724 Alesia Street South El Monte, CA 91733 I was with this print every step of the way and it is a great honor to work with Erick! His work is remarkable and it was a real pleasure having him in the studio. This is his first print and really made some magic! Mixing colors to match his thread palette, while also printing on a dark blue paper, was a great challenge but also a fun puzzle to solve. I’ll be hanging out all Saturday afternoon for the open house, come check it out!! 😻 #amigos #silkscreen #print #problemsprinting #erickmedel

📺 Watch Part 2: Drawing Cats with Erick Medel, on our YouTube channel. For our recent print collaboration with Erick Medel, a custom-built drawing machine was created by artist, engineer, and fabricator J.D. Fontanella. The drawing machine produces zig-zag marks akin to the stitch pattern used in Medel’s sewn works. As an entirely novel process to us all, drawing the films for this print was a point of true collaboration. Reminder to join us this coming Saturday, February 28 for the release of 2 Amigos, by Erick Medel during our Print Release + Open Studio from 12–5 pm. 📍The studio is located at 9724 Alesia Street, South El Monte, CA 91733. #ErickMedel #LAartist #BoyleHeights #ProblemsPrinting #JDFontanella #drawingmachine #printmaking #screenprint #silkscreen #LAartweek #collectprints Directed, filmed, and edited by Natalja Kent (@natalka_studio) First Assistant Camera: Mehregan Pezeshki (@mehreganpezeshkistudio) Producer: Jordan Lovelis (@jlovelis) Colorist: Ben Neufeld (greenfieldcolor.com) Sound Mix: Fox Schwach (@foxsch.wav) Problems Printing Tom Kracauer (@tomkracauer) Nick Perry (@nick3am) Herbert Mendoza (@_herbyyla_) Sarah Plummer (@speckhero) Special thanks to Sam Keller (@sam_big_gulp) Drawing machine designed and fabricated by J.D.
