This seems to be a popular request from my clients but what do you think of it?

I added T&G wall panelling to this space to give contrast to the units while adding a little more protection to the walls too.

That short space under the wall units does benefit from the illusion of height that these vertical lines add

So you could either spend a few £k installing a quartz splash back or tiles with grout that attracts dirt but on a budget - which are you choosing?

If you are a keen DIYer make sure you SAVE this How To video to install this wall panelling yourself!

This was one of the hardest paints I’ve ever used, epoxy floor paint in a basement with next to no ventilation! The paint was the consistency of honey, the walls that needed a straight line were rough due to having waterproof cement on it, the paint was actually steaming like a kettle due to only having 15 minutes per mix up to use it! I was in bed for 2 days after this with a migraine!! It was just so so helpful that I had my multi pack of @ProDec brushes to give these near perfect lines on an awful surface and the fact they are so cheap speaks volumes about the quality of their products! 12 brushes for £19 is actually mental 🤯 #floorpainting #diypainting #paintingtips #paintinganddecorating #budgetdiy

Changing an oil-based satin door to a water-based satin finish? 👇

Here’s my process for getting a smooth, professional finish:

1️⃣ Remove all hardware
2️⃣ Sand with 180–220 grit, depending on the age and condition of the existing finish
3️⃣ Clean thoroughly to remove all dust and contaminants
4️⃣ Apply suitable primer, cutting in the edges first, then the panels, followed by the top, sides and bottom
5️⃣ Lightly sand with 220–400 grit once the primer is dry to smooth the surface
6️⃣ Apply two coats of water-based satin, allowing each coat to dry properly

Save this for the next door you need to refresh ✌️
