POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We’re looking for six short plays, and actors to perform in them.

LEG BREAKERS is a scratch night. It’s open to anyone, whether this is your first play, or your hundred and first.

There’s a link in our bio. Follow it, write to the prompt, and send us the result.

Prompt: A threshold has been reached. A decision must be made, or a step must be taken. This is the most important moment of their life or lives, but this doesn’t have to be clear.

If your script is selected, it’ll be performed at the event in front of a supportive audience. We provide dramaturgy, rehearsal time, and you’ll also receive audience feedback.

This is a paid opportunity. Deadline is October 2nd 2026.

I prepainted and applied a zombie forehead prosthetic across 2 days along with @chiarapetroni.mua and @darcyjones_sfx as well as dirtying down and creating shadows on various characters

Not to get all LinkedIn final boss on here but when I started @__lalaarts suddenly everyday felt like ‘???’ I had no clue where to start, was googling every other word, had to learn to use systems inaccessible to me and I didn’t understand how ANYONE was actually doing it. I completely underestimated the barriers I’d face- access, educational and financial… let alone actually having the time to make my work

But through this it became clearer that our mission is to create a more sustainable and creative led industry for disabled artists. Changing the way for future generations so they won’t have to do it alone like this or burn themselves out in order to make the work they want to (okay maybe I can’t promise this rn but that’s the goal)

Its only when I take a step back that I realise how far LALA has come. Perhaps because a lot of the success has been behind a screen or because it’s hard to celebrate anything whilst the world is falling apart or because a lot of the time, it happens by myself…so to land support from @youthmusicuk is a milestone that is not lost on me.

This provides us with the scope to continue to do what I’ve always set out to do with LALA and as much as I’m in shock, we’ve earnt our seat at a table that 11 year old me would not believe (she also wouldn’t believe we have to do so much maths everyday, soz diva)

Also massive thanks to all those who have trusted in me and LALA and helped along the way, especially my girl @adaeravama

Anyways long story long, I’m dead proud and learning everday aaaaand I keep forgetting to post work pics so enjoy the well timed dump x

A big thank you to everyone who joined us on Wednesday night for (the sold out!) PERFECT PITCH: Manchester’s Film & TV Pitching Competition. It was such a fun night, and we had such a wonderful time listening to everyone’s incredible ideas! We’d like to say a huge thank you to our amazing panel of judges for spending their evening with us, particularly Manchester’s very own @cloudburst_ltd, the wonderful @planet_patrick & @produced.with.lotty - I’m sure everyone in attendance will agree that your feedback and insight was so extremely valuable. Thank you so much for sharing your time and wisdom with us, we are so very grateful for it! We’d also like to wish a huge congratulations to Ruby Martin for winning the evening with her brilliant pitch ‘Great Minds’. Ruby has won a Development Meeting with @developingroomfilms to discuss taking her idea from page to screen! Thank you to everyone who came, watched, voted, and participated. All of the pitches were incredible, and we wish all the contestants the best of luck in making their Film & TV ideas come to life!

If you’re interested in attending a future pitching competition, make sure you’re subscribed to our website newsletter to be the first to hear when tickets become available!
