Summer was so, so sweet. Here are a few highlights:

💕 My brother, Chris, married the love of his life, Rachel! It was my joy to officiate their wedding. 🥹

🎉 We went to Salt Lake City for Nazarene Youth Conference. Mike created some amazing art pieces for the event, and we got to reconnect with many long-time friends, including my Trevecca roommate, Danielle and her family!

🎂 We celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday!

🚗 We went back to Seattle to see Chris and Rach. We went mini golfing and went to the zoo. We also celebrated with @nt.rarrick nt.rarrick and @jillian.rarrick at their wedding (I forgot to take pics!).

🌊 Ended the summer with our dear friends, the McCauleys, eating ice cream and playing at the lake.

What an incredible week at Nazarene Youth Conference 2026! ❤️

Over the past few days in Salt Lake City, thousands of students gathered for powerful worship, life-changing messages, meaningful conversations, and a renewed focus on following Jesus. We’re grateful to have been a small part of what God is doing in the lives of the next generation.

Our Director of Alumni Relations, Zach Marble, also had the opportunity to reconnect with NNU alumni, visit with longtime friends of the university, and meet many students whose parents are NNU alumni. Those connections remind us that the NNU family continues to grow across generations.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, share your NNU story, or introduce us to your student. We loved seeing so many members of the Nighthawk family and can’t wait to welcome the next generation to campus.

In February, we celebrated Mike’s 40th birthday with a scientist / time travel themed mystery dinner. ⏳

We laughed until we cried as our friends played into their assigned roles with hilarious acting and adlib. I think I laughed the hardest as Mike rocked a crazy wig that screamed “mad scientist”! 😂

Mike is a GIFT to us all and we are thankful for our dear friends who helped us celebrate his milestone birthday this year!

Also, PSA: Make time to be silly and laugh. In a world that often feels heavy, joy is a needed act of resistance. 📣
