🎉 SPONSOR ANNOUNCEMENT! 🎉

We are incredibly excited to announce that @kathalushka, owner of @profitableimpactacademy, is sponsoring our Summer SideQuest Networking Adventure!

Kat believes in what we are building: a different kind of networking experience where people can step outside the usual business-event routine, have real conversations, build genuine connections, and actually enjoy themselves while doing it.

Having someone like Kat put her trust behind SideQuest means a great deal to us. Her support helps us create an experience that is welcoming, memorable, and unlike the typical networking event.

So yes, we are going to proudly throw her name around:

🙌 Thank you, Kat Halushka!
🙌 Thank you, Profitable Impact Academy!

Kat already believes in this adventure, and we think you should too.

Come play, connect, laugh, and see what happens when networking feels a little more human.

A few years ago, I asked to be on stages and got a whole lot of silence.

Some people said no. Most just never replied. I remember refreshing my inbox like the answer might change if I stared at it hard enough. It never did.

I could have taken that as proof I wasn't ready. That I needed more credentials, a bigger following, a better pitch. (I already had the diplomas stacked up. Not one of them opened a door.)

So I stopped waiting to be picked. I kept telling my story to whoever would listen. 5 people. Then 10. Then 20. Then 300.

Here is what I know now that I wish I'd known then: a "no" is almost never about you. It's about timing, fit, and a room that just hasn't met you yet.

Because a few years ago, I met Ally Stone.

I have been quietly in awe of her ever since. The community she has built. The impact she creates. The way women walk into her rooms as strangers and leave as family.

So when Ally asked me to speak at Inspire & Awaken 2026, I said yes before she finished asking. Honored is the only word for it. This is the kind of room I once wasn't sure would ever say yes to me, and now I get to stand on its stage.

The theme this year is "It's never too late." I don't just believe that. I have lived it.

If you have been waiting for the right room, the right timing, the right sign, please let this be it.

Come be in this one with me. October 16 and 17, 2026 (with a VIP evening October 15) at The Westin Downtown Edmonton.

And because I really want you there: comment below or send me a message and I'll get you a code for $50 off your ticket. 💛

It's never too late. I promise you that.

Got some new photos back from @soulwildphotography from last month’s Profitable Speaker Bootcamp. I honestly love seeing myself in action at the mic. I love seeing me when I look at pictures. Over the last year I’ve made the intentional choice to show up more and to show up as me. So far, so good 😊 #speaker #transman #queercoach #transcoach #latebloomer

Most people think courage is loud. 📣

But sometimes courage sounds like:
“I can’t keep abandoning myself to keep everyone else comfortable.”

One of the most powerful parts of my conversation with @deanrasmussencoaching was not simply the decision to transition…

It was the honesty required to finally stop performing a version of himself that no longer felt true.

Because whether we are talking about gender, leadership, relationships, business, identity, or life itself…

this is the human work.

The moment where you realize awareness alone changes nothing.

At some point, you have to decide:
Will I continue protecting the version of me others recognize…
or become the version of me I recognize?

That takes courage.

Not surface-level courage.
Identity-level courage.

And honestly, I think a lot more people relate to that than they admit.

This episode is not just about transition…
It is about truth.
Freedom.
Self-leadership.
And what it costs to finally choose yourself.

Practice makes (closer to) perfect, because there’s always 3 speeches - the one you practiced, the one you actually gave, and the one you WISH you’d given!

Confidence is an inside job.💫

But it is not built by thinking about confidence.

It is built every time you choose to show up as her.

The woman who speaks.
The woman who asks.
The woman who receives.
The woman who stops shrinking to make other people comfortable.
The woman who remembers her body, her voice, her desire, and her power are not separate from her leadership.

Tonight, we’re going there.💥

Confidence from the Bedroom to the Boardroom.

This is not surface-level confidence.
This is identity.
Self-leadership.
And turning the light back on.💡

If something in you knows it’s time, join us.

See you tonight!

Do it now.💥

Not when it feels right.
Not when it makes sense.
Not when everything lines up.

Now.

Because the biggest risk isn’t the dream.

It’s waiting so long you forget it was yours.

So many people spend decades building a life…
and quietly putting themselves on hold.

Waiting for someday.
Waiting for retirement.
Waiting for the “right time.”

But tomorrow is not guaranteed.

In this clip, Tracey Thompson talks about ripping the bandaid off and choosing to rewire and refire before retire.

Because yes… change can hurt.

But staying in a life your soul has already outgrown hurts longer.

I’ve had so many conversations during our post-Bootcamp calls this week with entrepreneurs and business owners about the power of their stories.

The funny thing is, almost every entrepreneur wrestles with sharing their own story...it feels like it’s all about them.

But the truth? It’s not. When you tell your story, your audience is filtering it through their own lives, looking for that “Oh, you’ve been there too” moment.

Building trust happens when they see themselves in your journey.

It’s one of the biggest shifts we help our Impact Makers with, finding clarity on what parts of their story truly matter for their audience.

It’s not about oversharing; it’s about helping someone else say “Yes, I’m ready for my next step.”

There are moments in business where you can feel the shift. This was one of them.

At the beginning of March, I had the opportunity to speak at the Business Mastery Summit alongside @stensonhrconsulting and @kathalushka , where I shared my message on The Storm Zones That Keep You Calm When Conditions Change. After standing in front of ~150 people, I realized this wasn’t just a talk—it was a milestone.

This message didn’t come from a textbook. It was forged in storms. From my early days in construction, to the high-pressure environment of a Big Four accounting firm, to now working alongside businesses navigating growth, uncertainty, and complexity.

I’ve helped businesses navigate that pressure in real time. And I’ve learned that calm isn’t something you wait for; it’s something you build.

I’m incredibly grateful to Kat and Thomas for the opportunity and the space to share, @ravenokmedia and to the team at @beeveepro for helping bring this vision to life behind the scenes. To my clients and my team—thank you for the encouragement, trust, and support leading up to this moment.

This experience represents stepping into a bigger version of the message I’m here to share. Because the goal isn’t to eliminate storms—it’s to build a business strong enough that you become the calm within them.

More to come. I’m just getting started.

You worked your whole life to get there.
Then you got there.
Now what?

That’s the conversation.

Not the money.
Not the spreadsheet.
Not the retirement plan.

The part no one really talks about:

What happens when the role ends…
the routine changes…
and you realize you’re not fully sure what this next chapter is meant to look like?

In this week’s episode of Xposed Living: Be Ageless, I sit down with Tracey Thomson to talk about Refire & Rewire, not Retire.

Because this season isn’t about fading out.
It’s about waking up to what else is possible.

We talk about:
🔥 purpose beyond the job
🔥 mindset in transition
🔥 reconnecting with values, interests, and possibility
🔥 and why this chapter can open more than it closes

Because sometimes the biggest question isn’t:

“When can I retire?”

It’s:

“Who do I want to be when I do?”

🎧 Episode is live now on Xposed Living: Be Ageless. (On Spotify, Apple or YouTube- link in bio)

If this season is closer than you think or already here this one’s for you. 🔥

We all have a story and I was so humbled to hear so many this weekend as friends old and new took the 🎤

What’s even more special is the community @kathalushka and @kim_carsonrichards have created. Also to see them laugh and cry as friends and build a business that is inspiring others to find their voice for positive impact.

This weekend I left my ego at the door and was so grateful to learn from others. While I have experience taking the stage to share my message I am focusing on being more intentional on where I need to be.

Get ready for what’s to come as I continue to #normalizemindsofallkinds
