Gratitude to Our city.
Gratitude to this summer. ☀️✨

There is something tender about looking back on a season and realizing just how much life was shared within it.

This summer, We felt.
We moved.
We gathered.
We breathed.
We made room for one another.

We are so grateful for every person who showed up with an open heart, for every familiar face, every new connection, every hand extended, every moment of stillness, and every space that welcomed Us in.

It was an honor to offer free wellness workshops to Our community through @barryfarmredev @cemwellness and to witness people across generations come together to nourish mind, body, and spirit.

Thank you also to @earth.being.alchemy , @thespicesuite , @honfleurgallery , @nubianhueman @project_green_foot who believed in the work.

To the ones who made someone feel seen.
To the ones who opened a door.
To the ones who trusted Us with their stories.
To every space that gave Our living testimonies room to be heard.

Some seasons remind you that the work is not only something you do.
It is something you share.
And this summer, We felt that deeply.

As the sun begins to soften and the season turns, We are carrying the people, the lessons, the laughter, and the love with Us.

Thank you for being part of Our summer.
Thank you for allowing Us to be part of yours.
May what we cultivated together continue to bloom.
May the warmth stay with you.
May the glow be with you. ✨

Harvest to Harmony 🌿
📍 New Brooklyn Farms
📅 June 21 | 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM

Join us for a soulful Summer Solstice gathering as we honor the longest day of the year through community, nourishment, movement, and sound.

Together, we’ll celebrate the abundance of the season with locally grown organic produce generously provided by Brittany of @project_green_foot .
As the sun begins its gentle descent, settle into an immersive wellness experience featuring yoga with Melan of @earth.being.alchemy and a live sound healing journey led by Ngozi of @holyhumanhousedc enhanced by PlantWave technology that transforms the natural biorhythms of plants into music.

This gathering is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with the earth, and remember our relationship with the food, seeds, and living systems that sustain us.

🧡 Donations will support Project Green Foot’s mission to increase access to local organic food while preserving and conserving heirloom and organic seeds for future generations.

What to bring:
🍓 Reusable produce bags
🧘🏾 Your yoga mat
☁️ A blanket or cushion for comfort
✨ Any personal healing or self-care tools you’d like to incorporate into the experience.

Come harvest, move, listen, and harmonize with us beneath the summer sun. ☀️🌿🎶🥬✨

🌿✨ What an unforgettable night!

Project Green Foot hosted an amazing Fundraiser Dinner filled with great guests, powerful conversations, and real community impact. Chef Francisco delivered an incredible plant-based meal, and attendees had the chance to hear directly from founder Brittany McGraw as she shared current initiatives and future projects coming to life.

From seed giveaways to networking and meaningful connections — last night was truly something special. Thank you to everyone who showed up and continues to support the mission.

Extend-A-HAND was proud to extend a hand in meaningful partnership with Project Green Foot during this week’s Produce Giveaway at East Friendship Baptist Church in Washington, D.C.

This weekly outreach is more than a food pickup—it’s a lifeline. Together, we helped transport and distribute 900 lbs of fresh, healthy produce, ensuring families in our community have access to real nourishment and support.

Extend-A-HAND remains committed to uplifting underserved neighborhoods, strengthening community resources, and standing beside organizations like Project Green Foot as they serve the community week after week.
