What if you stopped waiting to feel fearless before living the life you want?

Fear can convince you that discomfort means danger:

Don’t speak up.
Don’t apply.
Don’t go alone.
Don’t risk rejection.
Stay where it’s safe.

But avoiding fear can teach your brain something powerful: “I escaped, therefore it must have been dangerous.”

Instead, practice approaching manageable fears gradually.

🌿 Calm yourself enough to engage—not necessarily enough to eliminate every sensation.

🎯 Name the exact fear. “I’m afraid” becomes much more workable when it becomes “I’m afraid they’ll reject me.”

🧠 Ask whether you’re facing danger or discomfort.

🪜 Create a fear ladder and start with a manageable step rather than the most terrifying one.

❤️ Let fear accompany you. You don’t have to defeat it before acting.

And if a fear is severe, trauma-related, or significantly limiting your life, professional support can make facing it safer and more effective.

Courage isn’t the absence of fear. It’s refusing to give fear the only vote.

💬 What would you do if you trusted yourself to handle the discomfort?

🍁🍂🎃🥧 Happy October! 🥧🎃🍂🍁

If there is one piece of advice I could give my younger self, it's simply to never stop creating.

We don't always feel ready, in fact we rarely feel "ready", but life is short. So when we get the chance, start the business, make the art, take the trip, fall in love, fall down, get a little bruised or even broken.

Life is for living and experiencing the full beautiful spectrum of all our messy humanness.

For me lately, that's been finding joy in creating. Whether it's a recipe, a business idea, looking through all my old artwork and deciding what medium to dive into next, creation is an integral part of healing.

I've started many times over the years on social media, and this time feels completely different. There is a huge community of artists and makers looking to support each other. I'm finally feeling the energy connection and collaboration over competition.

I think so many of us have gotten to a point where connection has become crucial for creatives to thrive in a world that often forgets the healing that exists in doing things the slow way.

I've found so much joy in connecting with other creatives this time around. I'm deeply honored to open my feed every morning and support you. Thank you to everyone who does the same.

In a world that has come to value speed and quantity over quality, I feel privileged to slow down and witness our connections.

May we do all things with love in our hearts and for the simple act of finding joy in being here.

With Love,

❤ N

🌻 It’s that time of year 🌻

Well it’s official.. summers over. It’s never long enough, that’s for sure. 👎🏼

As we get into the spooky season, I’m reminded of the upcoming months. 🎃For me, it’s super busy. Training for work, events to attend, birthdays, holidays, all the things!!

As most of it is full of wonderful things, I’m reminded of the busy schedule and what that can bring too. 🍂Neglecting sleep and self care. Seasonal depression. Lack of patience.

I want to focus on those things this year. I want to learn to say “no” to things and not feel guilty. 🙌🏼

Busy doesn’t always mean bad, as long as things can be properly prioritized.

Cheers to the busy season and hoping memories are made. I’m an open ear for anyone who needs it this season! 🧡
