The result isn’t just about the work you put in on race day. It’s about all the consistent days that came before it. 💛

The days you show up when you’re tired. The days you keep going when progress feels slow. The days you question whether you can do it, but lace up your shoes and try anyway.

Success isn’t just the finish line. It’s the commitment to keep showing up along the way.

It’s the early mornings, the long days, the training after work, and finding the time around family life, responsibilities and everything else life throws at you.

It’s the sessions nobody sees. The miles run when motivation is low. The small steps that don’t feel significant at the time but gradually build into something extraordinary.

Because progress isn’t always obvious, and success isn’t always immediate.

But every time you show up, you’re building something — fitness, resilience, confidence and belief in yourself.

So, be proud of the work you put in when nobody is watching. Be proud of the days you kept going when it would have been easier to stop.

Race day is simply the opportunity to celebrate all the days you didn’t give up. 🏃‍♀️💛🩷

First he is a firefighter then he wants to be a mermaid.

I love the simple joy of make believe and being whatever you want to be. Let your imagination run wild. Find joy in the small moments and the present. In the pure joy and wonder of life children can remind us what we may have lost and where to find it. #childhood #joyinthemoment

I think we all could do with a little voice in our head like this. Just believing in what may “seem” impossible as we’ve been told it is. However to a 3 year old anything is possible so Mummy has to beat the bike!! A reminder to keep that little voice alive when you’re reaching your goals and dreams. Allow that little voice to tell you you can!! #projectrunsc #coach #virtualcoaching #mumrunner

As much as I coach athletes for events, ultras, 5km, marathon etc. I also feel there is space for those who just have capacity to get out the door and want to get started.
A big event can be hugely overwhelming and triggering if you have suffered trauma and or are neurodivergent. The noise and crowds of big events. As a coach I support everyone. I know first hand how some seasons can be better than others and how you may even be starting again after time out raising children or focussing on other things. Or maybe you’re at a point where you know something needs to change. Whatever that is take the plunge asking for support is strength not weakness. #projectrunsc #coach #virtualcoaching #traumahealing #neurodiversity

True growth and change can happen at rock bottom — if you’re willing to face the pain of sifting through it and confronting what you uncover.

The grief.
The fear.
The wounds.
The truths you may have buried just to survive.

But when you have the courage to face what’s there, you can begin to rebuild.

Not back into who you were, but into something stronger, deeper and more authentic.

Eventually, you’ll build yourself back to the rock that you are.

For yourself.
For your children.
For your future generations.
For humanity

Because what we heal within ourselves doesn’t have to be carried forward.

Running for me offers a space for the beat of my heart and feet and breath to move in flow state. Finding peace in movement and the strength I’ve gained and learnt from racing hard and winning ultra marathons has given me the tools to live with what life throws at me and support others.

How do you know you’re ready to race:
1. Training you’ve done the training and can look back at it for proof
2. You give yourself some honest introspection. Focus on your own training own circumstances don’t compare… keep that mind focussed and on your track
3. You may have done races leading up to it or longer runs or mirrored race day paces and know that you’ve replicated sessions in training.
4. Maybe there is also an element of letting go not knowing exactly how it will turn out but trusting the process and knowing you’re just doing this for fun; as you enjoy it. For your own personal satisfaction and goals.

Breathtaking 13th Century church

A rare day where I could run some routes i used to run until I stuck to “safe routes”

Climbs and views

Beautiful villages

beautiful well

I do remember

I wondered why the graves were over grown yet the grounds you can see were well kept…?

Wondered what this ruin was?

I stopped for water. I ran 19 miles and was feeling thirsty. I couldn’t find water so I kept running.

That felt like a real run and a real break! More than a run run!!
