One of us got this gem on sale it we couldn’t be happier! We had a blast trying to outvillain each other. We’re back after a long break due to special circumstances! But we played Betrayal Legacy chapter 5. The families gathered at the mansion again some for treasure, some for revenge, and some without reason. Salt turned a new leaf and became part of the Clergy, hoping to right her wrongs. As the “traitor” she attempted to seal away her demon who granted her her youth but her friends wouldn’t believe a word she said. After several successful attempts at persuading her friends, Salt was able seal it away at the demon at great cost. She had to take a life to right her last wrong. We played Photosynthesis for game day! It has to be one of the most beautiful games any of us has ever played. A very good abstract strategy game and very quick to learn. Tommy Muldoon, Kate Winthrop, Carolyn Fern, Minh thi phan and Monterrey Jack awoke in a lightless room, feeling their way around until they found the gate. Once out we were assaulted by individuals who spoke in a strange language. Victorious we made our way out. We were at Sentinel Hill, we made our way through looking for a way out before things got beyond our control. Combating unnatural monsters such as goat spawn, demons, and cultist we spotted a cauldron which seem to draw us all to it. As we made our way to the cauldron, we felt tremors and witness invisible forces trample and destroy the forest near us. But before we got to the hill the cult leader, a wizard, made the final sacrifice he needed to summon his greatest ally. The Dunwich Horror, a amalgamation of spider like horse legs, sharp protruding mouths with knife like teeth, a beast head as well as a human with a mass of hair. With a nod we all knew that we couldn’t let this monstrosity get away and wreck havoc! With deftness and finesse Kate lit some dynamite and launch it at the monster she shouted at us to run and get back. As we ran a massive explosion erupted behind us, Carolyn looked back in time to see the goat fiend and wizard get consumed by the flames, while barely damaging the beast. To our surprise the Wizard managed to survive too but barely, Tommy pointed Becky at him and shot, in his panic he just graced him, but it was enough. Monterrey, Kate, and Tommy bombarded the Horror with a hail of bullets, while slowly being overcome by demons and cultist. Kate seeing we were about to get overrun sacrificed the last of her sanity to sling spells at it. With her last spell a huge poisonous cloud engulfed the Horror and we witness it’s flesh fall from his bone and all that remain melt into a visceral mess of flesh and decay. Another night of eldritch horror! Leo Anderson, Jim Culvner, Silas Marsh, Mark Harrigan, Amanda Sharpe, and Gloria Goldberg were all hearing rumors that the worshipers of Atlach-Nacha we’re trying to bring her to the material plane so the group set out so stop them. They managed to put a stop to two rumors that would have prematurely ended their journey but they persevered! With the help of The city of Tokyo they managed to overcome several monsters that stood in their way and along their journey Leo Anderson was flung into the future where he came face to face with Atlach-Nacha by himself, he picked up a lightning gun from the corpse of a fallen hero and fought her head on! The battle was fierce, with Leo managing to wound her, and her managing attempting to finish off the single mortal who dared take a stand on his own. Dust bellowed up as they kept fighting and in the end all you could see were lightning bolts and shadows, but when the dust settle Leo Anderson stood victorious with Atlach-Nacha dying in what she assumed was her victory to win. With the last of her godlike power she flung Leo back in time to his time line where his actions of the future left her weak in the present, with his victory over her in the future it provided enough time for the rest of the group to cover her remaining cultist and out a stop to their ritual!
