Last night over dinner, we struck up some convos around our work with youth and in prisons and all the language that has been crafted from the inside and the outside. We kept being like and oh lemme show u this and back in the day I was in this project and realize how long I been in this fight. Since Blackout Arts Collective and the workshops we did for kids of incarcerated parents. To laying out and designing book covers and anthologies with art and writings from folks in lockdown. Shout out to my comrades from the Blackout Arts collective who invited me into a powerful work and legacy that I continue to try to honor . You all politicized me and were my first mentors and collaborators in this work. I miss and love u all dearly. Sending all my love to you now and always.

@Projones22 has self published 5 titles since 2006 and yes. I’m a supporter ever since. Its rare to meet poets that utilize the form/structure of a poem in addrion to metaphor and similes. Ofrenda (pictured) is one such collection of poems where you can read it in sections or in its entirety and you’re reading something different every time. •

He has facilitated genealogy/creative practice workshops at the Weeksville Heritage Center and through his genealogical research has synthesized his spiritual practice into two books of poetry: Ofrenda para las ancestras and the forthcoming ethnography titled Water + Blood.⁠
