POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

4 years ago, we bought this house. We saw so much potential in it, and before we even got the keys, we were already having meetings with @proparchitects about how we could make it work for our family.

7 months in – our plans were approved.

1 year in – every strange extension had been knocked down, revealing the beauty of the original building.

1.5 years in – our little princess was born.

3 years in – we finally tackled the garden.

4 years in – we doing our garden studio.

There are still so many things we want to do, and sometimes it feels like the list never gets any shorter. But I know we’ll get there, one project at a time.

Because this was never a house we bought to flip. This is our family home. A place we’re creating for ourselves and our children, to grow into and make memories in.

And making a home takes time. Sometimes years. And believe me, that’s absolutely okay. #ourhome

Why did we choose Nordiska Kök for our kitchen?

It’s probably one of the questions I get asked the most, and my answer is always the same: the quality for the price was incredible. Every detail feels beautifully made, from the craftsmanship to the finishes, and it genuinely exceeded our expectations.

Nearly every day someone asks if we’d choose the same kitchen again, and the answer is an easy yes. It’s one of the very few decisions we made during our renovation that I’ve never once regretted. Even after all this time, we still absolutely love it.

The little glass corner. I keep looking at it and thinking, was it worth spending extra money to have this little glass corner? But the more I look at it, the more I think it was totally worth it! What do you think? It faces the garden fence, but someone makes the space feel more connected. #windowseat

A large frameless sliding door connects the interior to the garden terrace, continuing the same oak tone as the window frames and cladding for a seamless visual transition. Inside, exposed beams and rooflights flood the kitchen and dining space with natural light, enhancing the tactile warmth of the materials.

🏡 Today, we’re taking a closer look at our recently completed kitchen/diner extension in Wanstead, delivered in collaboration with @proparchitects

The bespoke cabinets and stone worktops bring a refined finish, while the layered lighting adds ambience throughout, while the exposed timber ceiling remains a standout feature.

We used to assume that designing indoor - outdoor living meant adding an extension with the widest possible doors. But honestly, how often do we really open 6m bifolds?
#GardenDesign #IndoorOutdoorLiving #ExtensionDesign #modernhomes
Instead, it’s worth thinking differently: create smaller, more considered pockets that connect you to the garden and patio in a more natural way. Not just one big open box, but layered spaces that flow and surprise you.

Breaking up a straight-line extension makes the whole space feel more intimate, and gives you opportunities to create moments that feel special, little zones to pause, sit, and actually enjoy the garden rather than just expose it.

In an Edwardian townhouse in Aldersbrook, London, this colorful home thoughtfully unites modern Scandinavian design with historic charm.

The kitchen pairs dark oak with a warm pink hue, creating a vibrant yet balanced space that reflects the home’s distinctive character.

I’m done with 🌧️. It’s not even about winter or spring; it’s just how grey and rainy it is. I’m ready to come down and not be shocked that it’s sunny. Who else is just over and done with this weather? #sunnydays #sunnyhome #homerenovations

The light in this room gets me every time. I love watching people’s faces when they walk in from the dark hallway into this big open space, there’s always this instant exhale. Everyone says it feels so calm in here, and I’m never sure what it is exactly… the soft colours, the natural light, the warmth of the wood, maybe it’s all of it together. It makes me so happy hearing that the house feels peaceful, especially when my life feels anything but calm lately. At least I’ve created my own little zen corner 🤍#calmhome

When we started this renovation, I kept coming back to one word: calm.
Not perfect, not polished, just peaceful.
A home that feels gentle on the eyes and easy on the mind.
Looking around now, I can honestly say the vision became reality.
It still surprises me how much your space affects your mood, but this one gives me exactly what I hoped for.

A little moment to say thank you.
To the incredible tradespeople who brought our ideas to life, and the beautiful brands we had the pleasure of working with this year. None of this would exist without your skill, patience, and care. #ThankYou #GratitudePost #HomeProjects #HomeInspo #InteriorDesign #HomeRenovation #DreamTeam #Tradespeople #BeautifulHomes #Collaboration #Craftsmanship #HouseGoals #HomeStyle #DesignInspo #BelgraveHome
