Stafford Station has had a glow up 🐝🦋

Bees, butterflies and other pollinators are crucial to the health of our planet. So it's wonderful to see Stafford Station transformed into a pollinator paradise, with vibrant community artworks and a wildlife garden.

On the platforms and overbridge, you'll find new large-scale installations celebrating the beauty of the humble pollinator. The artworks were created by local artist @tomedwards.art in collaboration with local youth groups. On the overbridge, you'll find another wildlife-themed artwork; a colourful sign made from upcycled tin cans now welcomes you to Stafford. This floral artwork was the brainchild of the station's Team Leader Fiona, and was created by @proteanart together with local community groups.

Finally, there's a new garden to encourage local wildlife. With upcycled pallet beds and lots of pollinator-friendly plants, the rewilding space will be a sanctuary for insects and has been added to the town's Bee Friendly Trail. The garden has been adopted by a local Scout group, led by our Customer Service Assistant Justin. The space will provide an educational opportunity for the children through the upkeep of the planters and sessions led by external groups such as the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. Thank you to the volunteers from Network Rail and Alstom who supported us in building the shared garden. Want to get involved? If you have any large plant pots or seeds you'd like to donate, just speak to station staff.

The project was made possible by our Community Rail Project Fund; a way for us to give back and engage our local communities in the railway. It was delivered in collaboration with @northstaffs_communityrail and we couldn't have done it without them. A huge thank you to the local artists, community groups and volunteers for all your hard work in bringing this ambitious project to life.

Be sure to check it out next time your passing through Stafford!

A sneaky peak at our letters for Walton Priory Middle School . They’ve taken over our studio( in a good way) 😜♻️which means our shop floor has shrunk and our studio space has grown.

See us as double strength concentrated goodness.

Don’t worry all our products are online www.JohnyTodd.com

🦋 NEW FOR @victoriousfestival 🦋

Introducing our stunning butterfly wings, created from approximately 900 recycled drink cans by the wonderful @proteanart 💚

What starts life as a drink can doesn't have to end there. By recycling your empty cans, you're helping materials stay in circulation and be transformed into something new. And because #MetalRecyclesForever this process can take place time and time again. ♻️

📸 Have you had a photo taken with our wings? Tag us and let us know!
