AANA Annual Congress Day 3!

This was the funnest day imo! The exhibit hall was 6 hours and I think @kateb_crna did our best to hit every square inch of the place lol more fun with friends, hearing @annajcrna awesome lecture on ESP blocks, and the MAC lattes from the @nb.crna that I will be dreaming about until next year

✨2026 ✨the year of getting comfortable with the uncomfortable.

Before 2026, you couldn’t have paid me enough to willingly sign up for half the things I’ve done this year 😂

2 HYROXs. 3rd one coming in October w/ @provanesthesia 2 CrossFit competitions 1 more potentially on the calendar. Tennis lessons, pickleball tournaments, countless run clubs, solo runs
Solo gym sessions and many friendship sessions

A whole lot of sweat, soreness, doubt, and “why the hell did I sign up for this?” moments.

And somehow… I wouldn’t trade this life for anything.

I’ve met some of my best friends in the pain cave, pushed myself further than I thought I could, and learned that sometimes the best things happen when you’re willing to be uncomfortable.

Here’s to choosing the hard things chasing the next challenge, and continuing to surprise myself.

Wouldn’t want it any other way. 🏋🏽‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🫶🏼

The best conference yet filled with amazing people, new connections and growing friendships. I’m so thankful these are the people I get to surround myself with😭. We’ve all celebrated each others wins, supported businesses, rallied around new life, and watched each other grow in tremendous ways!
•
Community is something I struggled HARD to find in school. In fact I left mine behind in order to chase this dream. Now, I feel my community has exploded in ways I never knew existed and the outpouring of love is palpable. Who knew so many people from vastly different life backgrounds, practice models, training and geographies can come together with such power?? The light of the profession is BRIGHT and I’m excited to see everyone in New Orleans.

What an incredible weekend surrounded by friends who feel like family and so many like minded individuals coming together for a common goal and purpose. My heart is full meeting so many incredible people.

To the CRNAs, thank you for doing what you are doing. This profession means more to me than I can truly put into words.

To the SRNAs in the thick of it, keep pushing forward. Each day you get 1% stronger and 1% closer to the finish line.

To the aspiring RNs, you will not regret joining the best profession there is. I truly couldn’t be more grateful that I get to do what I do each and every day.

To those of you who shared such kind words to me, thank you! You are all the reason I get online and continue posting and pushing forward. It’s not always easy, but being a part of this weekend was the recharge I needed to keep pushing on. We are only getting started!

Surrounded by some of the best in our profession this past weekend at AANA conference. Unfortunately a day and a half wasn’t enough time to see all the people I wanted to see and attend all the presentations that sparked interest.

Nurse anesthesia in itself if a difficult career to be involved in clinically and politically. Incredibly proud of everyone who went out of their way to organize the event, attended, and present.

But the part no one talk about: As an introvert, being in such large social settings and meeting so many people can be draining. With that said my cup is filled but social battery and throat definitely need a recharge.
