2nd best weekend of my life 💕 (my wedding being the 1st😅) My beautiful friend, Jeany, owner of @maisonmirabeau had us to stay in September this year. I'm still not over how perfect it was 🩷 The maison is simply DIVINE, I've never been anywhere with such peaceful beauty. You feel like you're totally alone in this little piece of vineyard paradise. Perfect summer gin cocktail - Strawberry, Basil Gin Smash 🍓 One of our favourite recipes from Jeany Cronk’s At Home in Provence, this vibrant cocktail captures the flavours of a Provençal summer Ingredients (Serves 4): Basil syrup 125g strawberries, halved 150ml dry gin (or Maison Mirabeau Rosé Gin for a Provençal twist) Ice Sparkling water, to top Strawberries & basil, to garnish Method: Muddle the strawberries, add the gin, basil syrup, some pink peppercorns and ice, then shake well. Strain into ice-filled glasses, top with sparkling water and gently stir. Garnish with fresh strawberries and basil. Basil Syrup 120ml water 120g caster sugar About 10 basil leaves Method: Simmer the water and sugar until dissolved. Remove from the heat, add the basil leaves and infuse for a few minutes. Remove the leaves and leave the syrup to cool completely. Save this recipe for your next summer gathering, and discover more seasonal favourites in At Home in Provence. About last night… ✨ The most fabulous evening at Jo Hansford Salon 🩶🍷🥂 We’d like to extend a huge thank you to our wonderful friends, clients and guests who joined us for such a special Summer Soirée in the salon. There is something we love so much about bringing people together - great conversation, beautiful drinks, delicious food, familiar faces and that unmistakable Jo Hansford warmth 🩶 Thank you so much to @knackeredmother, @matt.tebbutt, @elliottgrover, @maisonmirabeau and @champagnelanson for making the evening so memorable, and to everyone who came along and brought such wonderful energy to the room. The wine was exquisite - and it was such an honour to have the co-founder of Maison Mirabeau @provencejournals in the room with us to raise a glass and share a few words with our guests too 🥂 We also have to give a special mention to Helen’s new book which you may spot in some of our snaps; ‘The Supermarket Wine Guide’ by Helen McGinn - we absolutely cannot wait to read it! 🍷 Our clients are at the heart of everything we do, and evenings like this are such a lovely reminder that Jo Hansford has always been about more than hair. It’s about relationships, community, trust and creating moments that feel truly special. A Wedding in Our Garden, A New Friendship & Let’s Fly Arrives | out now on my YouTube channel This week has been a beautiful reminder of the power of opening your home and making time for people. From hosting a wedding in our garden for a couple who lost their venue at the last minute, to welcoming Janet all the way from South Africa after first meeting on Instagram, it’s been a week full of kindness, friendship and unexpected moments. Along the way there’s horses, gardening, fitness, a trip to Cornbury Park and, perhaps most emotional of all, finally holding the very first copy of Let’s Fly in my hands. I hope this week’s vlog feels like a gentle pause and a reminder that the smallest moments and simple human connections are often the ones that stay with us the longest.
