The 308 GTI is one of Peugeot’s most understated performance cars, beneath the bonnet sits the world’s most powerful 1.6 litre four cylinder production engine. With 270hp, 380mm Alcon front brakes and a kerb weight of around 1200kg from factory, it has all the ingredients of a capable track car.

Take a moment to admire this 1989 Peugeot 205 GTI 1.9 from our collection 🔥

It will line up alongside over 100 other beauties on Sunday 1st November at Hawkins Blackwater for our very first Hawkins Classic Collection event, supporting The Merlin Neuro Therapy Centre. It’s on from 9am–1pm, and everyone is welcome.

Drop us a DM if you’d like to display your car on the day. So far, the cars range from a 1926 Ford Model T to a 2010 Maserati GranTurismo – amazing!

Weekend spent recommissioning a well hibernated engine 😴💤💤

This iconic DTurboS "Kingfisher" (tropical green) was brought to me to recommission the engine after standing for a number of years.
The engine wouldnt start at all, and had been sat for at least 10+ years that the owner could recall. This called for the pump/engine to be health checked and a full service.
With the pump on the desk, the usual suspects emerged, siezed vane pump, siezed govnor and all round corrosion from diesel/water seperation. After the pump was rebuilt, it was onwards to installing a fresh cambelt, servicing the engine and getting the pump set.
This one didn't even struggle to crack back into life. By the end of play saturday the car was ready for collection.

Was an absolute privilege to be given the chance to work on my dream spec 306. Maybe one day I'll get to own one of these legendary "Kingfishers". Until then i wish the owner the best of luck with the restoration 🤝

P.s before you hound the owner or me, its not for sale 🤣
