🎬 **COMING SOON — EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH KAY** @pss_kay

**BEYOND PRISON WALLS: A STORY OF HOPE & REDEMPTION**

Meet **Kay**, a Cambodian-American whose extraordinary life journey is a story of hardship, incarceration, reflection, and transformation.

What does it mean to lose your freedom, confront your past, and find hope for a second chance?

Beyond the prison walls is a HUMAN STORY — one of identity, family, forgiveness, redemption, and the yearning to find a place to call HOME.

We're honored to give Kay, now a writer, speaker and advocate, our platform to share his story, in his own words.

Because EVERYONE has a story worth hearing. 💛

🎥 Exclusive interview coming soon on **#AsianAmericans**.

Need a refreshing drink at Pak 7? Try Bopha SugarCane. So many favors. My favorite was the coconut.

Occasionally on Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to whenever, you can get a taste of legit Khmer/Cambodian street food at Recreation Park or Park 7: just look out for the tents, the smell of grilled meat, and Khmer music with karaoke, dancing, and people playing volleyball

Here’s everything we ate:
Pong Thea Koun (Boiled Duck Egg)
Kuyteav (Beef Noodle Soup)
Chait Jeen (Fried Banana)
Twako (Khmer Sausage)
Sugarcane Juice

I remembered coming here as a kid and getting a bowl of noodles from a lady in a van, one of the best beef noodle soup I’ve had as a kid (my mom’s is still the best btw)

As a Khmer American growing up in Long Beach this park in particular holds a lot of history in our community and played a significant role in our culture whether for good or for worse, one thing was for certain: the food always hits and the people came together when it’s time to eat

What was your fondest memory of this place growing up?
