The end of an era.

I’ve honestly put off writing this because I don’t know how to put into words what I’m feeling.

Dance has given me the opportunity to express my emotions through movement which has been such a blessing. It’s given me friends that make hard days in the studio just that much better.

I cannot even begin to describe how grateful I am for the friends I’ve made here @newtampadancetheatre and the teachers and staff that have inspired me to push myself even when I didn’t believe I could. I moved to FL not knowing a single person at the studio and I’m leaving the studio feeling like I’ve been here all along. These girls are like family and they always will be.

I also don’t want to forget the teachers who have watched me grow not only as a dancer but as a person at @thecityballetschool and @rab_and_dance . You’ve taught me everything I know. The memories and friendships I walked away with, will stay with me forever.

I also wanted to thank my family. The ones who’ve seen it all. My parents and sister for supporting me not only from the audience but from backstage and onstage. Having the opportunity to dance with my younger sister and my dad will be memories I will always hold onto. I also can’t forget my mom who has been backstage as my biggest cheerleader but also as the best costume mom I know. And my grandparents for coming to every dance recital, every spring show, and every nutcracker. You’ve been one of my biggest supporters.

And last but certainly not least, I wanted to thank God. For giving me the gift of dance and performance. After all of the hard nights at the studio I would come home and cry, and I would run to you. I asked for guidance and support and you were always there, every time.

There is so much more I wish I could say about how incredible this art form is. How it gives you an opportunity to express yourself without saying a single word, how it gives you relationships you didn’t know you needed, how it gives you memories that will last a lifetime, and how it gives you advice not only for in the studio but for life outside the studio. Thank you to everyone who has truly changed my life. I love you all. 💗
