**Life: A Spider’s Web**

In the quiet corners of the world, a spider spins its web—delicate yet resilient, intricate yet simple. Each strand glistens with morning dew, reflecting the light like tiny jewels, a testament to the artistry of life.

Just as the spider weaves its web, we too craft our lives, intertwining experiences, relationships, and dreams. Each thread represents a choice, a moment, a connection. Some strands may fray under pressure, while others grow stronger, holding us together in times of turmoil.

Consider the web’s design: a perfect balance of strength and flexibility. Life mirrors this balance; we face challenges that test our resolve, yet we must remain adaptable, ready to embrace change. Like the spider, we learn to navigate the complexities of our existence, finding purpose in the patterns we create.

In the grand tapestry of life, we are all interconnected. Just as the spider’s web catches the morning dew, reflecting the light in a dazzling display, our lives touch others in ways we may not see. Each interaction, each act of kindness, adds a glimmer to the collective experience of humanity.

So, as you gaze at that spider and its glistening web, remember: life is a beautiful, intricate design. Embrace the journey, cherish the connections, and weave your own story with intention.

Four years ago this weekend, I went through what I now see as my second injury. I was attempting to pull a 10-tonne ACT Fire Truck for a Guinness World Record at the Governor-General’s residence in Canberra. The event honoured police and first responders with mental health injuries and was meant to lead up to a bigger fundraiser I was planning with @terriirwincrikey & @australiazoo
Again, out of nowhere, three days before the event, I started suffering from exhaustion, widespread musculoskeletal pain, and was clouded by brain fog and oesophageal reflux. This had become a familiar pattern to me, and that morning I wasn’t right.
As I had done many times before, I ignored the feeling and just pushed through. At first, the truck moved easily, which surprised me. My body found its rhythm, like it always had. But halfway through, everything changed. My strength just vanished. I tried to push harder, but my legs wouldn’t move. At fifty metres, I stopped.
For the first time in my Strongman career, my mind was willing, but my body failed me. I didn’t realise then that this wasn’t just a bad day or a sign of getting older. In the months that followed, both my physical and mental health declined. I felt myself slipping back into a darkness I knew too well. The body I had trusted for years no longer worked the way it used to, and with that, I lost another part of the identity I had built over a lifetime.
Following numerous tests, I was finally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The diagnosis explained what my body had been telling me for a while, but it also made me face a hard truth: this wasn’t just a temporary setback. My life had changed. Sadly, the Australia Zoo fundraiser had to be cancelled, and I had to face something much harder than any truck, train, or plane I had ever pulled.
For years, strength was a big part of who I was. I believed that if I worked hard enough, I could get through almost anything. Looking back, it was the start of learning that real strength sometimes means accepting your body’s limits without letting them decide who you become. It’s the moment the story you’ve always told yourself about who you are no longer fits.

Before the uniform… I was already playing music.

Life just took me somewhere I didn’t expect.
14 years as an RCMP officer… and a lot of stories in between.

Now I’m back where I started but with something to say.

This is Have It All.

Should I share more?

🐾 Big day for Spirit! 🐾

Our little guy just earned his “Confident Puppy” certificate 🎓🐶

From curious sniffs to learning new tricks, he’s been working hard in puppy school… with lots of treats in between.

Safe to say we’re very proud of this very good boy. 🤍

Next goal: mastering the art of not trying to greet absolutely everyone he meets. 😄 @ptsdprogram
