Think Pilates is just for girls? Think again 💪

In December we welcomed almost 20 players from Echt Amateur Football Team into the studio — swapping winter AstroTurf sessions for Pilates mats. The team worked hard on core strength, mobility, helping support injury prevention and overall performance on the pitch ⚽️

Run, don’t walk, to this new Reformer Pilates studio that is opening in Aberdeen 🧘‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️💦 AD-invite

📍13 Carden Place, Aberdeen

This is @studiobecarden a.k.a Aberdeen’s newest boutique gym. Now everyone knows I’m not your usual gym gal, but when it looks this pretty I could be convinced.

The lovely @flowpilates_with_yaz guided myself and the other ladies in attendance through a great workout and it was so fun to try something new as I’ve never done Reformer Pilates.

The space is so welcoming and the machines weren’t as scary as I’d made out in my head. I genuinely thought I was going to deck myself but I felt grounded and safe throughout thanks to Yaz. The only thing I did feel was completely in the zone meaning all the noise in my head disappeared for the 50 minute class.

The studio opens on Sunday June 1 and although all the classes are booked up for opening day, there are classes available to book next week, although I think they’ll get booked up fast! You have to download their app to book and classes cost £16.

The team are also launching a 40-minute lunchtime classes to suit busy professionals so you can also get your Pilates fix during your lunch break.
