A @gettyentertainment photographer @ella_hovsepian & volunteer helping shelter dogs find their person. 102 dogs homed so far ✨

Start by teaching your dog to get into a down and stay.
Then begin moving 1 foot at a time, rewarding the dog for staying while you move.
Repeat the process until the dog understands what you expect.
It’s beneficial to wait for a release cue before ending the exercise.
You can usually teach this in one or two sessions.

$We are so pleased to announce that Halo (formerly #a5600923) from Downey has healed from her leg fracture. Her amazing foster Ken took her to see Dr. Li @vetvilla last week and the radiologist said that she has healed beautifully and is ready for adoption! They don’t need to see her back for any more x-rays and she can engage in normal activity. YAY! We don’t know what Halo’s past was like, but what we do know is that she got a second chance to rewrite her future. I am so grateful for everyone that has supported her journey. She is going to make a family so incredibly happy with her playful and sweet nature. This girl is good with other dogs and we hope her new family has a brother or sister for her to grow up with. If they don’t, we have a few dogs we could recommend (🎶Liberty, Liberty, Liberty, Liberty🎶). 😆 Thank you @tiffany_nitsche for continuing to drop off much needed supplies, food, medication, and for walking her! Also, thank you to pupppstar for finding this amazing foster and for visiting Halo frequently! Both of your video skills are great and all credit goes to you guys for that. You guys are my boots on the ground and enable me to take on fosters a tad further away with confidence. Also a huge shoutout to Celeste who secured a medical donor to help with the frequent and repetitive veterinary visits. To @californiashelterpets you are truly one-of-kind networking California dogs and helping to find fosters and sponsors! We couldn’t have done this without you! All of this means so much and I thank you!! Halo is a tad more petite than the average German Shepherd but is loaded with personality and spunk. She loves her toys and will play with anyone willing to toss a ball a few feet. At only around 1 year old, she has lots of life to live. ☀️ Halo is spayed and up to date on her shots as well. 🙏 I need a favor. I need everyone’s help sharing her please!
