2025!! What can I say other than what a year 💫
This year had a lot of learning moments to take in life a little slower, after taken a major pause on freelancing allowed for more time for a much needed creative reset I feel ready for 2026! This year encompassed traveling near and far, workshops, eating good food, and finding joys with my lovely partner and friends. And of course my major, and recent, highlight of the year to propose to Rae and be officially engaged! 💍👯🧡 I’m excited for our next chapter in life.
Thank you to all the folks in my life and yall sticking around here. I’m excited to be collecting more sketchbook work and ready to engage more again. For 2026, I want to connect better with my peers and community. Engage in meaningful ways and support one another 🧡
Cheers to this last day of 2025, onward to 2026 🐎

Earlier this month we took a look at the most badass things we saw from touring bands in 2025, now it’s time for the locals! We ALWAYS prefer the local stuff. Scenes like Lawrence’s are where the biggest trends in live music take off. You can find this year's Top Ten Most Badass Things We Saw from Local Musicians at the link in our bio.

🚨MIDWEST SKIDMARK AVAILABLE🚨

November and December of 2022, I was fortunate enough to work with many talented people to create the feature film Midwest Skidmark. A film I wrote, directed and produced.

Many of us involved were just beginning our film journeys at the time and truly had no idea what we were getting into. Even with that being the case, we did it. In December of 2023, Midwest Skidmark was shown for the first time in the Durwood Film Vault of the Downtown Kansas City Library. In April of 2024 we showed it to a sold out theater at KC Film Festival International and now, I have the privilege to say that Midwest Skidmark is available for all to see through brothaabefilms.com

Life is about continued growth and evolution. Midwest Skidmark was the beginning for me (Phillip Arthur Dixon), Brotha Abe Films and many more. BUT just you wait. To see where we will go, you have to see the work we’ve put in. Midwest Skidmark is just that. The work. Enjoy!

Drive - @purextcmusic

Still so proud of this and how it came together. Taylor is such a talented artist and friend and I feel so lucky to be a small part of helping to tell their story through art and music.
