Our latest, local feature is up! 😍 Who's tried infrared? 💥 From the article: "Surely you’ve heard that saying, “don’t sweat the small stuff.” But what if you *did* sweat out the big stuff? Like toxins and stress, for example. As a fan of hot yoga, I’m no stranger to sweat. And I had heard of the benefits of infrared saunas before. But it sounded like something extra fancy that I’d have to go to Beverly Hills to try. Turns out you can turn up the infrared heat right here in town, at Perspire Sauna Studio. While they have grown to offer locations throughout the country, Perspire’s flagship location is right on the corner of 17th and Irvine in Eastside Costa Mesa..." 😅💦 Read the rest at #iheartcostamesa dot com 💜✍️📷: @purpleinkcreative .

2 YEARS OF YOUR DOPENESS... post 1 of 2!
We want to say thank you. Thank you for the support, and the opportunity to come together, to create, to inspire, and to celebrate and foster creativity, individuality, and community.
_____
But we can talk all day, so we wanted to share with you what others have said. In this spirit, if you wish to celebrate with us, please share pics or words from your experience! Tag us so we can share it (public accounts only 😕).
_____
Our Anniversary Paint-ish Party is THIS Wednesday at @chapmancrafted, where it all started 2 years ago, this date, December 7th, 2017. Get your tix, but if you’re not available for the full time, maybe cruise by for celebratory pint, and quickly ADD SOMETHING TO A COMMUNAL PIECE — signature, beer description, paste a pic, or duct tape initials , etc. — would be dope!

If you haven't seen the beautiful, chain-stitched work of local Etsy artist @sarahjane.goods - you must follow her immediately! 🌸 Here's a sneak peak of our recent interview with this wonderful, Westside mom and maker: "I meet Sarah at the Fall in Love with the Westside event, where her booth is filled with chain-stitched greeting cards, tote bags, tea towels, and samples of her more intricate denim jacket designs. She can personalize pretty much anything, and she loves to collaborate on new ideas. The back of her jean jacket is like a beautiful-stitched tattoo, filled with gorgeously-colorful, California poppies.

But the star of her booth is her prized, antique sewing machine, whom she calls “Patsy.” When I ask her why the name, she cocks her head and says simply, “Well, she’s a Singer, so obviously… Patsy Cline!”

Been talking about this with some kids of mine lately. Ellie's new to badminton this term, and Owen's new to basketball; Theo's new to lots of things. And I appear to have myself a job, for the first time in eight long and very full years.

Being a beginner is a good thing. It's the first step to everything. And it's common ground - though we love to pretend it's not. It's the opening of a door.

Also, there's two sleeps til #nanowrimo. Is anyone ready? Me either. 📷: @purpleinkcreative
