Hi my name is Curtis, and I’m in love with this woman right here. She’s the dot to my eye, the cross to my T, a cool breeze in the heat of the day. If I got one good eye, she’s the other eye. She’s my blind spot, somebody say Amen today, hey glory. And today is her birthday. So y’all flood this comment section like a Black Friday sale, and tell my beautiful wife Happy Birthday!!!

Final Part of the Chicken Journey 🐔

We were close… but not close enough.

So I did something a lot of people struggle with…

I asked for help.

Two fellas showed up and helped us knock it out. What could’ve taken days, we finished together.

Here’s what this whole journey taught me:

• Marriage is teamwork
• Frustration is temporary
• Pride delays progress
• Community accelerates it

Never be afraid to call in reinforcements.
You weren’t meant to build alone.

🐔 Chicken Journey – Part 7

Building this chicken run isn’t just about chickens anymore.

It’s about communication.
It’s about teamwork.
It’s about working toward a joint goal without letting frustration win.

This time around, things felt different.

Less tension.
More listening.
More “How can we fix it?” instead of “Who’s fault is it?”

When you’re building something together — whether it’s a chicken run, a business, or a family — you realize real growth isn’t in the wood and nails…

It’s in the conversations.

We’re not perfect.
But we’re getting better.

And that’s what matters.

Chicken Journey – Part 3 of 3

Building this chicken run came with more than screws and panels.

The wife and I had a slight disagreement today.
No arguing. No raised voices. Just two different perspectives.

We paused.
We talked it through.
And realized something powerful…

We really balance each other out.

Where I’m quick to move, she slows things down.
Where she overthinks, I simplify.
And somewhere in the middle? That’s where progress happens.

Marriage isn’t about avoiding disagreement.
It’s about learning how to disagree with respect.

This chicken run is getting built…
But so is our communication.

Part 4: The Chicken Journey Continues 🐔

What started as a small idea is getting bigger… literally.

The chickens are growing.
The vision is growing.
So now the run has to grow too.

Building a bigger chicken run isn’t just about space — it’s about stewardship. Giving them room to roam, keeping them safe, and doing it right.

We’re learning as we go.
Making mistakes.
Fixing them.
Getting better.

One board at a time.
One lesson at a time.
One family project at a time.

This journey isn’t just about chickens.
It’s about building something together.
