And just like that my Kona winning streak is over 😞but today 2nd place AG today at Worlds 🌺 feels like winning 🙏 & Czech TV 🇨🇿 still wanted a quick chat 😎

I have so much to say but I’ll do that later.

In summary:

🏊‍♀️ super swelly and hot but stoked with it

🚴🏻‍♀️ solid and fastest AG (I think) but my fear of ridiculous draft packs have come true (more on that also later)

🏃🏻‍♀️ started out well but wheels fell of until I had to find them again for the last 1.2 miles or I would have lost 2nd - held on by 8 seconds 😳 (but when my longest run since IMtX in April has been just under 12 miles and I pretty much didn’t run all of July/August - I can’t expect more or be disappointed)

Thank you all for the cheers out there today and super special thank you to my buddy @pushglidekick for knowing jsut what to say when I had to get a move on there at the end - I definitely would have gotten caught if I didn’t know 3rd was coming in hot

Maybe I should've picked a shorter distance than an Olympic as my first triathlon of the season but I'm not necessarily known for sound, logical decisions so 🤷‍♀️

Worked in my favor tho! Even tho they totally lied about having mowed the lake, I had a great swim followed by a fast bike. However I'm still dealing with some quad/hamstring issues so that run definitely could've gone better.

🥉for my AG and only 7 seconds shy of a PR (so close! Next time) - setting the bar high for my season 😅

Last night, these 3 ladies tackled the final Open Water Swim Clinic hosted by @rpbytrudy and instructed by @pushglidekick and @jhctriathlon - and as their coach, it was absolutely amazing to watch their confidence continue to grow in the open water.

One of my favorite parts of this job is watching athletes evolve and mature in the sport. Last night, the smiles were ear to ear and I am so impressed with their determination to improve in the open water!

Of course, a huge thank you to Trudy, Gemma, and Jen. These clinics make a world of difference for local triathletes and it so VERY much appreciated!

Swimrun Camp ATX is happening April 10–12 in Austin, TX, and this year it’s shaping up to be something special.

Three days fully immersed in swimrun training, learning, and connecting, based right at Pace Bend Park on the ÖTILLÖ Austin course. Expect coached swimrun sessions, skill work, open-water swims, trail running, transitions, and focused learning sessions designed to help you train smarter and gain confidence.

New this year: the camp is all-inclusive, with lodging and meals included, so you can focus entirely on training, recovery, and the experience, no logistics, no distractions.

Whether you’re new to swimrun or an experienced athlete looking to level up for the season ahead, this camp is built to meet you where you are.

2016 - the year I did my very first IMTX (last time race was held in May ☀️🥵⛈️), the year I met @pushglidekick the swim coach (and Trifle ❤️) and the rest is history as they say ❤️

I am still chasing that “perfect” race, still learning how to 🏊‍♀️ (though my tan lines these days are a lot less aggressive 😂 swipe to 2nd & 3rd 📸 which is from my swim analysis with Gemma right after the race); and my bike fit is a bit less aggressive 😱 (📸 #4)

A lot more has happened in 2016 but that first IMTX has really changed the trajectory of the next decade✌️TX is now my home 🤠; Gemma sadly no longer my neighbor 😭
