For a girl who always has something to say, it took me a long time to find the right words for this one. Maybe because some chapters of life mean so much more than you can ever put into a caption. ❤️‍🩹

What started as a team simply taking a chance on Jose became something so much bigger than baseball.

Kinston gave him an opportunity when they didn’t have to. They believed in him, welcomed him, and gave him a place to grow, both on and off the field. Somewhere along the way, this place became a place filled with memories and friendships.

For me, watching Jose chase this dream has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I’ve watched him work, struggle, grow, celebrate, and continue to believe in himself even when things weren’t easy. I’ve seen the sacrifices behind the scenes, the moments of uncertainty, and the determination it takes to keep showing up and chasing something you love. I will forever be grateful for the people who saw what I’ve always seen in him and gave him the opportunity to keep going.

Kinston gave us so much more than we ever expected. We came here for baseball, but we are leaving with memories, friendships, and a whole lot of gratitude. That is something a stat line, a season record, or any amount of success could never measure.

Most importantly, thank You, God. Thank You for opening this door when we never could have imagined where it would lead. Thank You for placing us exactly where we needed to be, for the people You brought into our lives, and for reminding us that Your plans are always bigger than ours.

Go BirdDawgs. 🧡💙⚾️

Spent the afternoon training at @pvs_baseball! Thank you, Coach Matt, for the great instruction and for giving me new drills to take home. I’m excited to keep building my arm strength, improving my arm path, and becoming a stronger, more complete player.

Matthew Hughes. One thing is very apparent about this kid. He is THE hardest worker you will ever meet. So when he came to me last year asking for nutrition advice and looking to transform his body composition, I knew it would work because of the determination he possess. Starting his journey in August he was 6’3 190lbs. Since then he’s put on 15 pounds, now weighing 205 and coming off a great senior year. Hughes’ summer training is held at PVS where his programing is done by @pvs_baseball and @brendan_montgomery .Two very knowledgeable people who’ve helped shape Matt into the great person and athlete that you see today. His nutrition needs were easy to start from but would require consistency and a higher intake. What was a difficult start is now an average day for him. The Bethel Park graduate will be heading to Coppin State University this fall. Check out PVS’s page for the full story on Hughes written by Coach Matt. Watching him grow these past 3 years was a privilege. He’s been able to accomplish and transform himself into everything he knew he could be and more. You inspire all of us Hughes, go be great.

This girl hit 50mph with her overhand throw today and has gained over 7mph in just a few months!!! She’s worked so hard with @pvs_baseball to move better and it’s paying off.

She says she’s going after 55mph next!

Zechariah 10:1

“Ask the LORD for rain
In the time of the latter rain.
The LORD will make flashing clouds;
He will give them showers of rain,
Grass in the field for everyone.”

Awesome experience at the PVS Velocity Throwing Clinic in Richmond, VA! Increased my velocity from 54.7 to 60 mph and my rotational power from 720 to 810 RPM while staying consistent with my mechanics. Thankful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and keep working! #llguprising
