Where timeless design meets thoughtful functionality.

Located in Mount Pleasant, PWD Studio is a hybrid office, storefront, and design space rooted in the philosophy that form follows function. The studio itself is a reflection of the firm’s approach—bringing together custom fittings, bespoke furnishings, curated accessories, and artful details in a space designed for creativity and collaboration.

With a classically trained team, PWD Studio creates distinguished residential and hospitality interiors for discerning clients, balancing large-scale creative vision with meticulous project management.

The result? Beautiful, intentional spaces designed not simply for how they look, but for how they are lived in.

A celebration of craftsmanship, functionality, and enduring design. 🤍

Did you know the classic rule of enjoying oysters in months ending in “R” actually dates back more than 4,000 years, when seasonal harvesting helped protect oyster populations and cooler months brought peak flavor.

Today in the Lowcountry, October oysters often mean roasting time. 🦪🔥

A study in texture and bespoke detail.

We are proud to have built the custom kitchen cabinetry for Reviving Thomas, a project dedicated to stripping back the home to reveal its original 1830s heart pine framing and exposed masonry. A rich walnut island anchors the space, while soft, airy finishes allow the historic brick and hand-hewn beams to take center stage.

Rachel and Tom Dion’s desire to move downtown led them to a circa-1832 Federal-style house where every room blazed a different color. A nearly three-year renovation revealed historical details and a slew of structural issues. With the help of architect Bill Marshall of Architrave, Renew Urban Charleston builders, and interior designer Patti Willbourne of PWD Studio, the couple is now settled into a livable family home—complete with original brick, hand-hewn beams, and heart-pine floors—that earned a Carolopolis Award for Exterior Preservation from Preservation Society of Charleston in February.

The best custom homes leave room for a few unexpected moments. What looks like a mirror is actually a hidden door designed by @pwdstudio, creating one of those little design details that makes you stop and look twice, or possibly never notice at all! A custom hidden door disguised as a floor-length wood framed mirror in a Kiawah Island home built by Seaboard, opening into a private room designed by PWD Studio.
