Barangaroo Reserve

Sydney, Australia

The transformation of the former container terminal on the western edge of Sydney Harbour into a public park recreates the lost headland and restores its relationship with the harbour. This connection to the site is expressed through its materiality: sandstone excavated during construction was shaped into blocks and reused in the new foreshore and elsewhere in the landscape. By using the site’s own material, the new landscape feels as if it grew from the site itself.

Peek behind the curtain at Glenstone.

Join TCLF on October 24 for an exclusive Garden Dialogues tour of Glenstone in Potomac, Maryland, led by Adam Greenspan, FASLA, Design Director of PWP Landscape Architecture, and Matt Partain, Head of Grounds at Glenstone.

For more than two decades, PWP Landscape Architecture has worked with architects, artists, ecologists, and other experts to transform more than 300 acres of former residential subdivision plots into an expansive landscape of native forests, meadows, wetlands, contemporary architecture, and site-specific art.

After the tour, stay as long as you like to explore Glenstone’s two miles of walking paths and trails and its exceptional collection of postwar and contemporary art.

Register now; space is limited.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, QCP entered the design conversation, becoming more involved with landscape architects and their projects. Going beyond simply supplying objects, we started thinking more critically about helping designers determine how those objects could serve a larger idea. In 1995, we worked with Peter Walker and Partners, now PWP Landscape Architecture (@pwpla), on Library Walk at UC San Diego. The project marked an important shift toward design-led, project-specific work.

@salesforceparksf is such a great addition to our city. Designed by @pwpla and a collaboration with @pelliclarkeandpartners, the park opened for the first time in 2018.

Last year, I literally passed on a trip to Stonehenge, but this weekend when I saw Bunnyhenge was only a few miles away from me, I made the trek! I absolutely love public art!

An inspiring evening at the Botanical Garden of Barcelona, sharing the visions of Catherine Mosbach @mosbachen , Phil Harris @troppo.architects, Kamel Louafi @kamel_louafi , Adam Greenspan @pwpla , and Jala Makhzoumi .

Five unique approaches. One shared passion for shaping landscapes that connect people, nature, and place.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate design, creativity, and the transformative power of landscape architecture in such a beautiful setting. And a special nod to everyone who embraced the summer heat—we’re so grateful you were part of this celebration.

A great visit with our neighbors at PWP Landscape Architecture.

Earlier this week, we welcomed their team to our warehouse for a tour of our space. We walked through our R&D area, discussed some of the different systems we’re developing, shared a low-light test we’re currently running for trees. We finished the tour with a look at our outdoor test walls.

These kinds of visits are always a welcome opportunity to share what happens behind the scenes: the research, experimentation, and care that support our finished work.

Thanks to the PWP team for stopping by.
