💙 We’ve got brilliant Skilled Volunteers ready to support small charities and community organisations across London.

We know funding is tight, teams are stretched and there’s never quite enough time or resource to do everything you’d like to.

That’s where Link UP London can help.

We connect small organisations with experienced professionals who can provide practical support in areas including marketing, communications, fundraising, HR, finance, strategy, digital and more - completely free of charge.

In this video, Megan from Power to Connect, Katie from Career Compass, Sarah from Da’aro Youth, Anthony from Clothing Collective and Paris from Mary’s Charity share their experiences of working with Skilled Volunteers and the difference their support has made.

And we’re seeing some brilliant projects happening across our network right now. 👇

🌟 Jamie is helping Five Aside develop an outreach process to connect with potential partners.
🌟 Jacqui is supporting Career Compass with email marketing to better engage and grow their audience.
🌟 Antoniya is helping Rising Ohana CIC develop a communications strategy to reach their audience more effectively.
🌟 Dhananjay is working with Konverse Dance Crews to review their business model and develop a new company structure to support more sustainable funding bids.

These are just a few examples of the practical support our Skilled Volunteers are providing to organisations across London.

Could your organisation use some extra skills or expertise?

Tell us what you’re working on, what you’re struggling with or where you could use an extra pair of expert hands.

We may have a Skilled Volunteer who can help. And it’s completely free. 💙

Last night was all about saying thank you to the incredible volunteers who give their time, energy, and skills to support London’s communities 🏙️🤝

Our fifth Volunteers’ Week Get-Together may just have been our best one yet! It was an evening filled with warmth, inspiration, gratitude, and plenty of laughter-proper belly laughs thanks to the wonderful Jaycee from Zen Laughter, who led us through an uplifting laughter yoga session 😄✨

We're incredibly grateful to Battersea Power Station for hosting us in such a spectacular venue, and to all the charities and volunteers who joined us to celebrate this amazing community 💫

A special thank you to our inspiring guest speakers, the Mayor of Wandsworth, Councillor Emmeline Owens, and our Chair, Simon Shimmens, who both spoke passionately about the vital role volunteers play in strengthening our communities ❤️

With delicious food, great conversations, and the best company, it was a truly special evening and a wonderful way to celebrate the power of volunteering 🌱✨

See if you can spot yourself in the video! 👀 We loved having so many of our own Link UP Skilled Volunteers there-what a fantastic way to come together and celebrate everything you've achieved 🧡

📸 Our professional photographs will be shared next week, so keep your eyes peeled, you might spot yourself there too!

Here's to the power of volunteering, community connection, and the incredible things we can achieve when we work together 🙌

Local charity Power to Connect @pwrtoconnect is tackling digital exclusion in Wandsworth, where areas like Furzedown, Roehampton and Falconbrook rank among the most digitally excluded in London, due to lack of access to reliable devices, internet and the skills to get online.

This creates real barriers to everyday life - from accessing jobs and education to staying connected and using essential services.

Power to Connect is working to change this by::

📱 Refurbishing and redistributing donated laptops and phones
💻 Delivering free digital skills sessions in libraries across the borough
♻ Promoting sustainability by reducing e-waste and giving devices a second life

So far, they’ve redistributed 4,700+ devices, supported 500+ residents each year and worked with 180+ schools & organisations.

👉 Want to be part of the solution?

You can volunteer, donate a device or support them with a funding donation to help them reach more people. Every action helps someone get connected!
