THROUGH THICK AND THIN. When I got this bike out of a scrapyard in 2023, I never could have imagined the places it would take me, the people I would meet, the joy and adventure it would bring me. None of it. It isn’t just an object anymore, it’s a story, a shared experience, a piece of me. This old girl has been through deserts, mountains, wide open prairie, rivers, creeks, boulder fields, lightning storms. You name it, she’s seen it, and she kept me safe and sound, powering through all the abuse. This bike had a hard life before me, and I’m so grateful to be able to give it a proper rebirth. To anyone reading this, you don’t need a flashy new machine. Buy that bike and learn how to work on it. It will make you respect your machine, love your machine. And once she’s ready, get out there and make some memories ❤️. #drz400 #transamericatrail #motoadventure #motopacking

Autumn was abundant to put it lightly. A couple trips to the gorge, a visit to Bozeman to see my Ghandre, throwing a little birthday bash near Bend, but I primarily spent it looking at mushrooms and romping through North Cascades National Park during the arguably best time of year to be there. We had incredible weather up north as we fell into fall. I got to explore this park intimately and I know she is a friend of mine now. I’ve spent the last couple of falls chasing summer in Southern California, which has also been a favorite of mine, but as a born and raised Oregonian, I’m so happy that I got to be a part of every moment of this transition in the PNW. Getting to spend this much time in one of the best parks on the continent was a dream come true after I visited it for the first time in 2023. I’m so blessed to have spent the changing of the seasons with the larches and wild blueberries which stained my lips purple. Although I spent most of my time alone in the mountains, I’m so grateful for all the quality time I got with my loved ones. Whether you visited me up north, or I came to you, thanks for all the laughs and never failing to make me feel loved, you guys keep my world spinning. Happy winter yall!!❤️‍🔥

On Wednesday, October 29, at 5pm, we are going to take a little walk in the woods to share stories and remember Kate, prior to her celebration of life at Brew Pub.

In Kate’s honor, this is a Cali sober event with no alcohol. Everyone is welcome.♥️

We deeply recognize how difficult it is to lose Kate without having a chance to say goodbye to her. This week, if it feels right, we invite you to write her a letter, a note, or make some art for her. We will also have supplies at Brew Pub to write to her if you’d rather be around family while you write. A fire will be made to place any of these items into, to send them back up to her, or you can take yours home to cherish.

We love you and we will get through this together.🖤

Found an old disposable camera 🌼✨ had no idea what photos were on it and was pretty stoked to see they were from solstice and camping 3 years ago 🍄🌸

Spring in the PNW! Nothing can beat it! Thanks for all the laps and all the laughs, you are all so very precious!

Now for my dedicated reading audience: goodbyes are hard, and I’ve had the privilege of many tough goodbyes; however, today is not that day. I am saying goodbye to the home and community I’ve created in Washington, but thankfully it is temporary! Unlike my usual habits, I will be returning here for the fall if all goes according to the plan. I remain lighthearted in this transition knowing that I’m not trading one home for the next then the next and so on. Once my summer adventure ends, I know I will return to the loving embrace of my community here and I’m so grateful. That was one of the reasons I grew weary in my nomadic antics prior to my move to the cascades: I missed having a consistent community to fall back on. I leave the cascades with a feeling of accomplishment. That I placed some roots and that they shall remain even with the changing of the seasons. I’ve met so many incredible people this spring, way more than I was expecting with how remote my home and work are. I got to dive in deeper to some of my relationships in ways I didn’t expect, and grow to love people I hadn’t met until these past months. My cup is overflowing from my time in the woods, amongst the mountains, and on the river this spring, surrounded by such a range of wildly talented and bright human beings. So, to sum up my word vomit, I’m so so so grateful for this life and the people it has brought me! Thanks for sharing some of your time with me! I love you!
