I’m honored and excited to share that I will be part of the documentary Queens of Tequila @queens_of_tequila‼️❤️ a documentary that explores the role of Mexican women in the tequila industry in Mexico 🇲🇽

Thank you @elisacuervoclark_official @queens_of_tequila for inviting me to be part of this amazing project that uplifts and centers Mexican women.

This means more than you can imagine. As a Mexican immigrant who comes from the Sierra Madre in the state of Nayarit, Mexico, I can see the fruits of my labor and the many sacrifices I’ve had to make to be here today.

Con cariño,
Sociology Profe @drhortenciajimenez 🥰

We arrived in Mexico ready for the unknown, and the journey did not disappoint. The road was rugged, the days long, and the challenges real — but every moment was worth it. What we found was a land both wild and breathtaking, shaped by extremes and alive with quiet resilience.

In a region that can feel isolated and dry, life still pushes through the earth with force. Agave, people, traditions — all of it adapted, rooted, thriving. And at the center of it are the caretakers of this world: generations of families whose hands, hearts, and histories are woven into the land itself. Their heritage isn’t something they carry; it’s something they are. It’s in their stories, their work, their pride. It’s in their sangre.

We entered as strangers. We left with knowledge, respect, and a deep love for the people who welcomed us with kindness, generosity, and a sincerity that stays with you long after the cameras stop rolling.

Mexico changed us. The land taught us. The people embraced us. And we carry that with us now — not as visitors, but as witnesses and more importantly, friends. Con todo mi corazón gracias. I am forever changed. ¡K VIVA MÉXICO! ¡SALUD! 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽♥️♥️♥️🥂🥂🥂

Moments and legacy are colliding with space and time…and inside that spark lies the Queens of Tequila, a documentary. In the heart of Jalisco, Mexico, a new generation of women is redefining the tequila industry. Through intimate interviews and immersive storytelling, “Queens of Tequila” explores the journeys, challenges, and triumphs of the women who are transforming a male-dominated tradition—one bottle at a time. Coming 2026! I need the tequila industry to get behind these women and this incredible story! Stand up and make some noise, the Queens have arrived!!! #QueensOfTequila #Documentary #Mexico #Tequila #SpanglishMediaGroupe
