Film photos from the “Big Prize” release show last Friday at Junior High. KT took these on their 30 year old film camera that has been on many adventures, from living in tents to traveling across the US. We discovered it can no longer handle low light settings anymore, and in editing the photos, KT found something really cool. It felt very much in the spirit of “Big Prize,” something you love and cherish just not working anymore or not working how it used to, and making something beautiful out of change when you don’t expect it. I love these photos very much and I love how they’re a part of the story 🎰🧡 “Big Prize” is out now!! Go listen!!!

Turned 31 today and as terrifying as that might be for me, I have to thank my friends and memories from 2025 in LA for carrying me this far. Nothing compares to the joy, laughter, and love we shared on the daily… Even though I’m back home in CT to reset for a bit, the people in these photos made me who I am at my big age (if you aren’t in the dump you still know who you are !!). Wouldn’t have a clue wtf to do in my 30s without y’all. I love you and I love LA. See ya soon 💫

‧₊˚ 🎐✩ 🫧 ₊˚⊹♡ this year I released a song w @trippednsat, wrote a ton, started DJing vinyl, ran a half marathon, did fun silly things w people I love +++ @final.girl.records became even more iconic and international🔪 reflecting on it all, more was accomplished than I was able to appreciate this year as my internal world experienced a lot of change🪞⋆.˚🦋༘⋆

Now I’m ready for so much more, foot on the gas 🪽

Is there another word for anticipating nostalgia? Is it just Future Nostalgia (by Dua Lipa)??? Or am I experiencing anemoia (nostalgia for a time you have never known)????

There is community in queerness. In order to signal to others that we belong, queer folx use our appearance to express who we are. In doing this, and being part of a community, queerness has the ability to become collaborative. I worked with close friends of mine to create a space where we could help one another explore what it means to be queer (although it is important to note that there is no one definition). This took the form of a many hour long haircut session. We laughed, we gossiped, we listened to music, and we enjoyed the company of one another. But most importantly, the subjects of my photographs were able to help each other affirm their queerness. It was an act of love and community. I created this book and quilt using the most complicated and physical processes I could in order to represent the love and labor that goes into being a part of this community.⁠

Hey! I haven’t seen you in forever! Let’s catch up!

These last four months have been some of the busiest of my life!

1. I finished and exhibited my senior art thesis piece, I can’t help myself, with a ton of other amazing artists!
2. I graduated from Hamilton College magna cum laude and Phi Kappa Beta 🔑
3. I went on an amazing trip with my family through Washington and British Columbia!
4. I started working for the Creative Chicago Reuse Exchange, a non-profit org that works to keep used art supplies, teaching resources, and raw material out of landfills by finding new artistic and educational uses for them!
5. I ran my first 5k since high-school!
6. I re-exhibited my thesis piece in the Chicago Sculpture International Project Space! (She’s still up until Saturday if you haven’t had a chance to see it yet!)
7. I started working at Shedd Aquarium!

I might drop some more pics later from our Washington-BC trip, because it was such a gorgeous vacation, but for now, I extend my deepest thanks to every individual who has made these past months so special! I love you all so dearly!
