It is the holiday season, and @queeringqueering sent me these gorgeous photos of themself wearing a gold dress I made for them. Photos taken by Zak!!!! This is the 2nd iteration of this dress.. that I made long ago. It thrills me to know the dress lives on. I love that they wore it with a keffiyah, solidarity with P@lestinian people right now is so important to me. I haven’t been posting a lot of designs because my heart is heavy. The horrors and greed in the world right now are terrible and disgusting. I am lucky that I still have work.. thank you to everyone who has come to me with designs and ideas.. I appreciate you all so much. For this holiday season, hug your loved ones.. be as kind as possible. I hope for next year, to be able to do a fashion show, more raffles and lots of custom work.. I also want to be able to support where it is needed most. It’s okay to fall apart, and when we put ourselves back together.. let’s remember that we are strong together. Let’s survive the f@scism.. and build a better, safer and more beautiful world.

UPDATE: ADOPTED!
COURTESY POST FOR COOKIES: Abandoned older cat needs a loving forever home!

“We found an emaciated cat on the highway onramp last week. Our vet scanned her for a microchip, and we discovered that her owners had unfortunately died; neighbors confirm that this poor cat hasn’t had a home or a family since 2018. We are housing her, but we cannot keep her. We’ve been calling her Cookies.

Microchip data reveals that she’s spayed and is nearly 15 years old. Cookies is just fine indoors, and must never be allowed outdoors again.

Cookies is a sweet, friendly, precious cat who should not be in the shelter system at her age. I’d love to place her directly with a human companion who will be her forever family. Are you that human companion? :)

I would also gladly accept your referrals to rescue organizations who can house her with a foster family until a suitable forever home can be found. (I’ve contacted Anne at Hopalong but I haven’t heard back.)

Cookies is a gem of a kitty. She’s always making biscuits, always purring, and just wants to be with people. She uses a litter box, enjoys her bed, and is enthusiastic about eating and drinking. Cookies just loves being with people, that’s her favorite thing. She can be alone just fine, but she’s so ecstatic with us when we visit. She let us trim her nails, wipe her down with damp cloths, and put her into a cardboard cat carrier to check her microchip at the vet. Cookies has received flea medication, and she will also receive her first dose of dewormer.

One more thing: I know she’s old, but so what? Who knows how long Cookies has, or how long any of us have? Indoor cats regularly live into their 20s. She’s a strong baby, and really determined, so my guess is she’s got plenty of miles to go yet!

Cookies will come with her own bed, litter box, litter box mat, toys, nail clippers, dry kibble, and a few cans of wet food.”

Today is Intersex Day of Remembrance 💜💛

Art 🎨 by @bopolena (shared with consent)

💡WHAT IS INTERSEX?
Intersex is an umbrella term that refers to people who have one or more of a range of variations in sex characteristics that fall outside of traditional conceptions of male or female bodies. I.e. they can have variations in their chromosomes, genitals, or internal organs like testies or ovaries. 💛
.
The series was made possible by the help, support and knowledge of these lovely intersex individuals:🤳
