To the Queer Kid We Used to Be
We are not here to change your past. We are here to build a future worthy of you.

We asked our community, What would you say to your queer younger if you could speak to them ? This carousel is a collection of those conversations.

Accepting our past doesn’t mean approving of everything that happened. It means choosing to not let it dictate who we become, so we can move forward lighter.

What would you say to your younger queer self, if they were sitting in front of you now?

Sxc Scraps is now running a November sewing course!! With regular weekly classes on Tuesdays 7-9pm (starting 2nd Nov) at the QueerSwap Studio, Vauxhall (89 Albert Embankment, SE1 7TP).

You can work on any project you like (not restricted to make a specific project), and you don’t have to worry about finishing your project by the end of the session, as you have a full month of classes!

All materials and tools provided, including sewing machines! So if you’ve been meaning to finallyyyyyy use one, now is the time :)

In times like these, representation isn’t enough. Every month, our sessions become a platform, a lifeline and a form of care for queer artists.

Your ticket is more than entry, it’s direct support for the artist who curated the room and shared their story.

Three years in, your belief and presence keep this space alive. Thank you for showing up – for the art, for the community, for each other. 💕

Join us for our next session on October 29th at @queerswap studios. Tickets link in bio!!
Artist revealed tomorrow – stay tuned. 👀

Founded by Nyx and Sierra in 2023, @queerswap is a clothes swap for queer people in London.

It’s a place where clothes can move between people as their identities and wardrobes change. More than 20,000 pieces of clothing have passed through the swap since it began.
