Summer might soon come to a close but we’ll still be outside ☀️🍃 and we’re bringing back the scavenger hunt! 🔍🔍 This month we’ll do another take over the Wissahickon Trail on Sunday October 4th from 12-3pm. We will start with a quick stretch and get started at 12:20! Had the opportunity to host the DC advance screening of Dreams in Nightmares, the sophomore film from writer and director Shatara Michelle Ford. 🎬🌈 The film follows Z (Denée Benton) as she travels across the Midwest with her two closest friends in search of a friend who has seemingly disappeared, exploring Black queer friendship, chosen family, and what it means to find space to dream and exist in an increasingly complicated country. Getting to introduce the film and be part of the conversation afterward made this screening especially meaningful, and I’m excited for more people to experience it. I know I’m late to the party yall but I was just able to check out LGP in Philly and … is it cheating to say I like it more than the DC location ? 👀😭 The high ceilings, the attention to detail, AND THEY HAVE HAPPY HOUR?!
