J A N U A RY 2026 📸 🎞️ Summer is in town but rather than excited, deep within I feel sentimental. It’s the season of our baby girl’s birth. One year on and I still feel the tension between Summer and I. Do I forgive Her? Could she have been a little bit kinder in the height of ‘25? Dare I brood in Summer’s past? Perhaps too much reflection is tiresome for the Self that lives within. Maybe it’s tiresome for you to hear. Much to Summer’s disdain I decline the invite to move fast, dream big, and lose myself in the heat of the moment. Instead, I opt to embody Autumn. That not-quite-cool-not-quite-hot temperament. Neutral. One foot in the season, one foot at the door. Some would call me unsteady, ungrounded. I don’t have a response - I simply shrug. On some level, I have been desperate to float away and revisit the cosmic realm beyond the veil: mothering full-time has very much kept me “here” on Earth. Summer in January was early mornings, decaf coffees. Wading in crystal clear waters (please let them stay this beautiful forever). Watching the littlest one play with (and sometimes eat) sand. Running from the sharpness of sunrays into a cool home. Less routine. Soaking up every second with the man who holds us all down. Tender words to furry friends. Helping hands from extended Kin. You’ll note the jumpers/hoodies: yes, we are still wearing layers in Denmark during this season. 🌞✨ The middle of Summer. The start of a New Year. The weaving of Capricorn/Aquarius Season. A heightened entrapment of many, many whirlpools. 🌀 With Love, Saar x
