A Look Thru Your Lens: Episode 107
Artist: @yqsphotos
Film: Kodak Gold 200
Camera: Nikon FG20
______________________

1) What motivated you to pick up a camera?
•
I have been following SJ SHOOTERS for a while now, seeing the life of other people has been beautiful. It showed me that even though I feel my life is pretty bland and my everyday life may be boring, there’s still beauty in it.

_________________

2) What were your primary focuses as you captured these images?
•
I didn’t know what to focus on, it was my 2nd time using a film camera and I don’t do much in my day to day life but lucky I was able to attend some events in my neighborhood and capture some shots. I shot whatever caught my eye.
_______________

3 ) What do you want your legacy with photography to be?
•
I just want to reach someone where they can see my work and feel happiness. If I can make one person smile or laugh then I’m happy. Life is too short and sometimes too rough, if my work can make someone smile then I’m good.

So often many community members are thinking the same way about areas where we live.

In this case, great minds have come together and are making magic happen this Saturday May 31 at Greater Gospel Center Church.

Thank you Pastor Buggs and the office of Councilmember Sean Elo-Rivera - District 9 for collaborating with local muralists to bring joy to a much needed area.💐
